I love reading, but with 2 kids now I'm having trouble finding the time.

When do you read?

Morning?

Before bed?

Weekends?

Any tips to find more time to read?

I've heard getting up an hour or two earlier than normal is a great way to find the time to get some readin in.

4 kids, wife, career.

Kids go to bed 7:45 - 8pm.

Phone goes off at 8:15. TV on music shortly after.

Dim the lights, make the coffee pot, brush teeth, etc.

Read until 9:30-10pm, go to bed.

Only exception is for Football/Baseball games I'm interested in.

Lunch breaks at work. Sometimes in the bath. That's about the only time I have. That's why it usually takes me a while to read a book.

Audio books. Before bed. While driving.

These are great for your work commute imo. Gives me something to look forward to when I'm stuck in traffic.

Mainly before bed, but I am retired so I can stay up later.

I bring my lunch to work, and read almost every day while eating lunch either at my desk or out in my car if the weather is nice. There's also a park a block from my office I sometimes go to to read and eat my lunch.

I take my book with me to my kids' practices and will read there instead of dropping them off.

As soon as they go to go bed, I turn all the TV's off and read before going to bed myself. That usually only lasts 5 minutes before I'm out though.

4 kids here.

When the wife is asleep.

When I'm pooping.

Sometimes after the kids are in bed and I'm relaxing with a cigar on the back porch.

I average 2-3 books a month this way.

I have to prioritize it over reading stuff on here. Haha.

A book that doesn't end.

At lunch time and before bed.

On the weekends I'll take my kid to the park and once he's asleep in the stroller ill sit and read until he wakes up.

I have the time for it, but after work I find that I’m usually too tired to focus, and if I try I’ll be asleep within 10 minutes.

2 kids, wife, career, graduate school

Kids are in bed by 730-8. 2-3 nights a week I read from 930-130am. Other nights I am either doing something socially or doing school work. Will be just shy of 52 books this year. I only turn the tv on 1-2 times a week to watch a game.
