He does clearly state that if they don't save the wildlings they'll be fighting a bunch of undead wildlings

All the NW bangs chicks too. It is known

That he does. But Bowen and Co. can't see the forrest for the trees.

And if I had seen the dead walk like they had, the prospect of that many undead would've been far more terrifying than the wildlings crossing the wall.

So is there anyone else that survived the First of the First Men that could attest to the WW. I mean they got their asses handed to them by not just zombies but zombie BEARS for christ's sake.

Is it just Sam and Jon left from that?

Well they had their brother that turned into a White Walker at Castle Black and attacked Mormont when Jon first got there and burned his hand.

So more than just the two have seen them.

I'm pretty sure there were a few others. Edd for one.

Grenn, Pyp, Edd, and Sam are the only ones I am sure are still alive that were at the Fist. Pretty much everybody on the Wall is an idiot though. John knows many will not approve of his decisions, but is the only one to understand the Wall's true purpose. He knows that without breaking some of his vows, the Wall has no chance of standing against the WW, so he basically says either they accept my decision and the Wall holds, or they don't and it falls. Them not accepting was going to likely mean his death anyway.

fricking trolls I swear.

quote:

False rumors on the internet are nothing new, especially in the Game of Thronesfandom. In the early days of the show, before filming even began, there were IMDb shenanigans when a creative fan added Holly Marie Combs’s name to the cast listings as playing the part of Catelyn Stark. Obviously that was untrue, and it demonstrated just how easy it is for anyone with a login to update the movie and television database.

Part of IMDb’s charm is that anyone can update it, but unfortunately it can lead to trolling and misinformation and that is the case this week when the cast listing for a season five episode was updated.

Fortunately, the Huffington Post was able to get in touch with Michelle Fairley’s representation and they were able to confirm that rumors of Fairley returning to play Catelyn or Stoneheart were not true.

“There hasn’t been any discussion about her returning to the show after Season 3,” Fairley’s rep told HuffPost Entertainment. “As of now, this is completely incorrect.”

Sorry, folks, there’s no Lady Stoneheart in the works currently- just someone getting creative with IMDb once again. This actually happened last year, but that’s slipped people’s memories, and it didn’t make as big a ruckus last year. I believe the entry last year was removed before many people noticed.

The season five Fairley episode listing on the database is in the process of being removed.

Wasn't aware of this. While I believe her reps would say that anyway even if she was in season 5... it's probably just some trolling frick like you said.

Jon is clearly who the story is all about as he is the embodiment of ice and fire

I have to disagree In that he's who the story is all about. Unless I'm not catching your drift. What do you mean when you say that?

I felt like zoolander typing that. But why male models?

I think jon is just eddard version 2.0. It's crazy how much like his dad he is. All the starks for that matter. Family, family, family, family. That mindset clearly doesn't win out much in this realm.

I understand where he's coming from. Sleep with the enemy to defeat the enemy I guess you could say. But when is doesn't sit well with %99.9 of your brothers then maybe you need not let 4,000 people that you've fought against forever past the wall. Even if it screws you over in the end. And again, especially don't have some wildling rallying call party right in front of the NW face. Why would you think you wouldn't try and get murdered? The old bear got murdered for a lot less.

Maybe we all need to sit down with D&D and discuss how to proceed with the show while The Rains of Castamere is playing in the background. They can't be serious about cutting Aegon, Connington and Stoneheart. I think they're fricking with us

And my last post,I haven't read all 924 pages of this thread so I don't know if this has been discussed. Is it possible that Jeyne Westerling's great-grandmother is Maggy the Frog? It says in Jaime's last chapter in AFFC that Lady Sybell (Jeyne's mom) was the granddaughter of "some sort of half-mad witch woman from the east". So the other queens from Maggies vision could be either Dany, Margery or Jeyne, the Queen of the North
*Edit* Damn I guess it's common knowledge that Jeyne is related to Maggy according to Wester.org. Well I learned something new, just need two more things to learn before I face the kindly man

If we're talking the show, scratch Grenn from that list.

This might be overanalyzing but the Sibyls were an order of prophetesses that predated the Hellenic civilization and lasted in rhe Levant until at least the end of the Roman Republic. Martin's enough of an ubernerd to be well aware of that connection but does it mean amything to the story?

Book thread. The show doesn't count, it doesn't even have Lady Stoneheart.

The story is called a Song of Ice and Fire. Ice=stark Fire=Targaryen. Jon is ice and fire. Ifso facto... story is about Jon.

According to imdb, it listed michelle fairly as Cartelyn stark/hooded woman. Could this be a sign that LS will be in S5?
