Prisoners =\= guest right. Robb beheaded Karstark because he disobeyed a direct order and, as a green leader and teenager, couldn't look weak and allow such insubordination.

It would be interesting to get a Randyll/Sam meeting in their "official" capacities.

Depending on how things play out for Danny, she might have a substantial army soon. Potentially she could have:
- Former slaves who Barristan has been training
- Part of the forces of the Iron Islands (ships
- Unsullied
and some warriors)
- One or more sellsword companies.
- Potentially a bunch of Dothraki depending on how the cliff hanger is resolved.
Oh, and don't forget three fire-breathing dragons and possibly a very smart dwarf!

Some time ago, there was a link to the 3 novellas about Dunk and Egg and these could be read in their entirety. Is there some place where these novellas are online? I was asked to post this question here as well as my original post as a new thread.
Thanks for any help.

I'm doing the boiled leather re-read. Seven hells the chapter where Nimble Dick dies took me like 2 hours to power through because I kept falling asleep.
Unless it's a Jaime chapter, I really have a hard time re reading AFFC. I really am catching a lot if things I've missed though.

Doing a re-read as well and noticed something. It really doesn't mean anything at this point in the story, but there was so much made about how Robb ended up with Jeyne, the possibility that she was pregnant, etc. There's a Tyrion chapter and Cat chapter back to back in ASOS that pretty much tells us that Tywin was behind Jeyne and Robb and that Jeyne's mother had her on birth control to keep her from getting pregnant with Robb's heir. Pretty damn clever on Tywin's part. Robb lost the Frey's and was busy planting his seed where it wouldn't grow, so no heir to challenge Sansa and Tyrion.

No heir for sure--I know the show and books are separate entities but David and Dan more than likely knew from GRRM that Jeyne wasn't pregnant and used Talisa's 'pregnancy' to squash that thought.

Yeah, it was definitely one of the big topics when they reached that point in the show, but I never actually saw any theories that said that her mother was giving her a medieval version of the pill. It was so obvious, though, that I'm sure that it was out there and I just didn't see it.
Of course, the fact that they killed Talisa in the show made many think that Tywin wasn't actually behind her marrying Robb. In the show, that may have been true, but in the books it was also pretty obvious in the re-read that Tywin set up Robb marrying Jeyne and breaking his oath to the Freys.
Tywin was a great character, but I'm glad that he's dead!

The "great other" is the Night King.
Wow, I feel like I'm in The House of the Undying and nothing is as I thought it was.

It was confirmed in a Jamie POV.

Is it because of dragons coming back into the world that magic is, or is Magic coming back into the world through eh reemergence of the Others the reason?
"Winter is coming"
The others coming back (Craster's offerings have been going on for a while now) predate the dragons.
I'm thinking the emergence of one thing back into the world ushers into being once more it's polar opposite. R'hollor (fire god)
Dragons (breathe fire)
Wildfyre (living fire)
A blackfyre?
It's a song of Ice and Fire.
A Song.
Think about the operation of a Song.
Recall an important song from any other important works of literature?

I feel like a Hodor now but I'm really liking what the show did with the Others...we never get confirmation on what happened to the sons after the Others took them...now we now.
And now I'm wondering more about the Great Other--and unfortunately we knew basically zero about him until tonight's episode. Looks like Darth Maul meets Voldemort but I'm really excited...Are we going to see him in Mel's visions in the flames next season??

Now we are seeing confirmation that "sacrifice" of infants is more of a "turning".
That means the WW "grow" and "age" in some way, otherwise they'd all be wee bairns still.

This episode certainly adds fuel to the crackpot fire.
The night's king is a Stark. Brans great great ...... great grandfather. He and Bran will conquer Westeros together.

I still don't understand how they are going to conquer this hurdle. The night's king was overthrown, how is he still alive? Is he the great other's champion? So much of this makes less sense the more they show of it.

Ok so horns like a crown = Night's King? A bit of a leap, huh?
If this is true, then the Others are not immortal...duh, I know...unless tGO is an office, not an individual (like Sword of the Morning) then I can buy Night's King = (current) tGO.
Did I just talk myself into it?
Hell yeah, I feel like a Hodor!!
Eta: remember, we were told tNK was overthrown...like we were told Davos's head was on the wall at White Harbor...
