Ned Stark, Renly Baratheon, The Red Viper, Quynten Martel, Khal Drogo, Vysaries Targaryen, Tywin Lannister, Joffrey Baratheon, Kevin Lannister, Robb Stark, Maester Aemon Targaryen, The Halfhand, Lord Commander Mormont, Ygritte, ect are all pretty dead.

I don't think that Jon is dead. Following the 'fact pattern' that most characters don't die in their own POV... And GRRM has basically confirmed it too.

I'd be shocked if Cersei's death is not her own POV chapter.

So you think Jon is dead dead?
Posted on 11/13/13 at 9:52 pm to ladytiger118
Of course not. His arc is by no means done and would simply have been a waste of time if he is dead.

This basically proves it for me. There's no question he's alive.

If Jon is seriously dead, I say let's all go to Sante Fe, New Mexico (where Fat Man lives) and picket his house with pitchforks and torches.

I am ready to go. Has fatass actually starting writing the next book. I haven't been keeping up with anything. I wanted to wait until I finished reading the books so I wouldn't be spoiled on anything.

Fat Man hasn't said much about his progress other than feeling the pressure to finish the series before HBO catches up to him. And other than the TWoW sample chapters he's released, we have no idea how much of the book he's actually completed.
And someone correct me if I'm wrong, but he's released about 7 chapters right?
And in terms of progress I'm wondering how many ADWD chapters he released before the book's release.

Are these chapters collected anywhere? I only read the Theon chapter.

I think the ASOIAF board has them.

Is that the name of the website? I would like to read them.

Arianne I TWoW Sample Chapter
TWoW Theon I
Barristan I and II
Chapters that are most to least interesting of the current samples
I'm trying to find the Tyrion, Barristan, Vic, and second Arianne chapters...if anyone can help me out, post links of them on here since there's going to be a lot of readers in the next few months finishing up ADWD who will want to read those chapters and join the discussion.

Barristan is almost gleeful. “It’s like Baelor Breakspear and Prince Maekar, the hammer and the anvil. We have them! We have them!”
This quote from the Barristan II summary leads me to believe that Victarion will certainly turn the tide of battle against Barristan.
I wonder if Barristan will retreat back inside the walls, prompting Victarion to blow the horn and use the dragons in an attempt to get past the defense at the walls?

That theon chapter makes me mad how he ended DWD, right when that books begins to get great "the end, see you half a decade later"

Victarion wants dany I see no reason why he would want to defeat her army and allow her enemies to take her city.
He'll fight with barristan...... For now at least
