Remember also, Stannis has lots of boats...
Not sure if its been mentioned but throwing out a thought with the Stannis/ Melissadre/ Jon relationship... What if its Stannis ultimately sacrificed for his King's blood?

Is it a foregone conclusion that the "Wall" is coming down?
I think the horn Jon found and gave to Sam is the horn of winter. It looks plain, but so what. Not sure why Sam or the Citadel would want the wall to come down, but my prediction is someone at the Citadel tells him what it is and then Wall comes tumbling down.

but who wants it to come down? not Sam. Others? Bran? Faceless Men/Iron Bank?

No freaking clue. But maybe there will be a reason the south wants it to come down...maybe?
Or maybe the red comet does a lap around the "earth" and slams into the walland destroys it. Either way, I think it's coming down.

Can y'all imagine if the Others can cross the water from the Frozen Shore?

wasn't there something in the last book about keeping the dead in holding cells carved out of the Wall? was it to prevent them from turning? could this be foreshadowing of some sort?

I thought they actually wanted the dead to turn in those cells so that they could use them for experimentation more than anything. Use it as a controlled process more or less.

Just watched Conan and GRRM made a comment about how the book ending may differ from the TV ending. He cited "certain characters" who were killed off in the TV show that were still alive in the books. Does this indicate that Jayne Westerling had a son and that her son will play into the end game of the book? She was killed off in this week's episode.

She wasn't killed off because she doesn't exist in the show.
It was a good interview. He says he's writing fast. I don't trust him

You have to keep things in perspective. That just means 4.5 years instead of 6.

Yes she does. Robb's wife in the show = Robb's wife in the book with a different name. Just because they have different names doesn't mean they're different people. He even said in an interview they changed her name because they were afraid viewers would confuse her with Sansa's friend Jayne.

This show has really exploded in popularity, especially compared to last year. People are still writing comments in my FB newsfeed about the Red Wedding, 3 days after it aired. The GoT threads on here have had a ton more posts this year too.

To be fair, there were a few more differences than just name. I think Jeyne Westerling was the daughter of a Lannister bannerman. She nursed Robb back to health when he was injured campaigning in he west (Lannister territory) and that's how they "fell in love." Talisa in the show was from a city across the narrow seas I think (at least if she was telling the truth). She was not a noblewoman and had no relationship to the Lannisters (at least none that have been revealed to us).
So I'd say they are similar but not identical characters.

I stand corrected. Isn't she from Volantis? I'm not sure what the relationship of Essos nobles to Westeros nobles is but yeah, wikki definitely has her as a noble.

I think it will be revealed that she did have a connection with the Lannisters. Maybe something along the lines of Tywin persuiading her to conceive a child with Robb, and then her child will be heir to Winterfell and they will want for nothing and so on.
Then Tywin went all Tywin on her and had Black Walder carve her up like a watermelon.
