it was creepy and awkward at the same time. i like how it didn't really have a clear melody, just a disfigured child singing to herself in the dark

"Its always summer under the sea. I know I know oh, oh, oh. The birds have scales and the fish take wing. I know I know oh, oh, oh. The rain is dry and snow falls up. IK IK oh oh oh. The stones crack open. The water burns. The shadows come to dance, my lord. The shadows come to play. The shadows come to dance, my lord. The shadows come to stay."
Should have just looked it up but just copied it from the subtitles

I am not sure if the prophecy is jsut saying Dany will never bear children but I'll give it a shot.
quote:
when the seas run dry
Patchface often refers to death as "under the sea" in his prophecies this could refer to when the Others are defeated or possibly when the Greyjoys are put down.
quote:
"When the sun rises in the West and sets in the East
This could refer to TPTWP. Maybe something happens at Eastwatch. This could be any number of things.
quote:
and the mountains blow in the wind like leaves
Immediately made me think of the doom of valyria and volcanoes. Could refer to frankengregor.
Thats all I got. I am sure Hugo and OM and others will have better insight.
I think that whole thing is what it is nothing more. She was just elaborate on saying "nope, not going to happen"

BEWARE THE PERFUMED SENESHAL...........
Maesters
Considering the maesters are rumored to have devised the fall of the dragons, and Danny's conection to dragons..........if one of the seneschals are said to be perfumed I'd say this is exactly what this professy is foretelling.
Maesters

Seneschal
The Seneschal is chosen from among the archmaesters by lot. A new one is chosen each year. The Seneschal is tasked with the governance of the Citadel. Most archmaesters consider it a thankless task that takes them away from their true calling

For me, Patchface was the creepiest son of a gun in the whole series.* That guy was flat out spooky. And I kind of loved him for that. But to be honest, I don't really mind if they take him out and foist some of his part on Shireen.
* Though he might be surpassed by the Children and the 3 eyed crow depending on just what is in that stuff they're feeding Bran.
Oh - and going back several pages to Hugo's list of good and complicated, I wouldn't really put Sansa as good. Chick really only ever looked out for her own half baked romantic notions. She didn't tell the truth when Joffrey was lie-ing his arse off about the butcher's boy and Arya's wolf, which caused the boy and, ironically her own wolf to be killed. She ran and sold out Ned to Cersci about the Starks moving back to Winterfell. She didn't seem to have too terribly much of a problem with Littlefinger offing Dontos.
Really, I can't think of one thing she did for anyone else besides herself except maybe begging for mercy for Ned. And she even screwed that up by being too vague and the "mercy" ended up being having his head cut off.
She might be entitled to some sympathy for some of the stuff that happened to her. But I don't look upon her as good.

Good points on Sansa but she has some redeeming qualities plus I think she's too stupid to be bad.
I think a lot of the faults you're pinning on her can be tossed up to being naive.
She was nice to Robert Arryn... (Sweetrobert)
She has the whole innocence thing about her and her motives went from being Joffery's queen to just trying to stay alive.
However, I think and hope she will be littlefinger's demise in the end, possibly killing him herself.
If she figures out Littlefinger's scheming is almost entirely responsible for the destruction of the Starks, the wolf in Sansa could finally emerge.

Yeah. I don't think she's bad. Just hasn't done enough to be put in the "good" category for me. And I agree, most of it was being naive. But it was a pretty self centered and ultimately destructive type of naivete at that.
She was pretty nice to Robert (especially as I think he had a habit of peeing in her bed). Though I do have a feeling he may end up taking a high dive at some point or other.
For some reason, the most enduring behavior that she has exhibited (to me) was building Winterfell out of snow.

She has enough information now to figure out that Littlefinger lured Ned down to King's Landing to die. It's just a matter of time before before he lets slip about framing Tyrion more than once (and using it to start the war between the Starks and Lannisters) and that he himself encouraged Joffrey to kill Ned. Add to the fact that once Littlefinger finds out that Bran and Rickon are alive and Jon Snow will be a serious contender for the throne, Sansa will kill him before he can make his move against any of the three of them.

Here's another reason why Sansa will kill Littlefinger. Remember the Woods Witch? She dreamed dreamed of a girl with purple vipers in her hair (Sansa with the poisonous "black amethysts from Asshai" in her hairnet), and then of the same girl slaying a giant in a castle made of snow. Granted, this was apparently fulfilled when Sansa ripped Robert's doll in half, but thats pretty damn insignificant if you ask me. Everyone knows that Littlefinger's sigil is the Mockingbird, but House Baelish's is the Titan of Braavos. The toy was merely a trick to get the readers off the scent. Sansa and Littlefinger will arrive in Winterfell, a castle of snow, and Sansa will kill him there when she realizes how he's destroyed her house and how he plans to destroy it and basically every other house in Westeros completely.

Has anyone talked about Littlefinger's three queens comments in here? In Sansa's last chapter in AFFC he mentions how the three queens will change the game and Sansa is unsure of who he is talking about. I assume one for sure is Margery, one is either Cersei or Dany(I think he may have already counted out Cersei), and the last is probably Sansa, queen of the Vale, Riverlands, and the North.

Littlefinger knows Cersei's days are numbered and is completely incompetent. She is no longer (and never has been really) a player in the Game of Thrones. I think he's referring to Margeary, Dany, and Sansa, who he thinks will be the only players for the Game of Thrones.
