Recently have began reading about the American Revolution. Any book recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

This is the right answer, but I liked Johnny Tremain as a kid too.

Have you read any Gordon Wood? You can regurgitate his stuff at a bar if you’re ever near Harvard, but seriously, his books are great and in depth about the time period.

It's historical fiction but check out Newt Gringrich's trilogy. It's quite good.

Easy read but I recently read American Hannibal by Jim Stempel. It is primarily about General Daniel Morgan and the Battle of Cowpens.

I enjoyed it.

Rick Atkinson is working on a Revolutionary War trilogy.

The British are Coming is the first one. Haven't read it yet, but his WWII trilogy on the US Army in Europe is very good. He's a good writer.

The Glorious Cause: The American Revolution, 1763-1789 by Robert Middlekauf is a good overview of the conflict. It examines the military, social, and political machinations of the war and is part of the prestigious Oxford History of the United States series.

This is by far the best book on the subject I have ever read.
