Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen were among the many prominent celebrities involved with FTX. Now according to the New York Times, Brady signed a $30 million endorsement agreement in 2021 that "consisted almost entirely of FTX stock." Bündchen received all of her $18 million in company stock, which is now worthless. Whoops...

They were paid in the stock of a fraudulent company in order to promote a fraud... they didn't "lose" anything. People who actually bought in with cash or crypto and then lost something had real losses.
