In a recent interview with ESPN, UCLA athletic director Martin Jarmond gave his reasoning for the program joining the Big Ten...
quote:

Well, one, national exposure. Now you’re going to be in three different time zones, multiple time zones. Here on the West Coast, when you think about some of the game times, you’re not always in the national spotlight. Now our student-athletes will get to showcase their talent and skills as far from the Pacific to the Atlantic, all through the East Coast. So, in a name image likeness [NIL] era and student-athletes are finding their voice and their brand and what’s important to them; this gives them a national platform that they can be seen in ways that we haven’t been able to.

What hurt viewership was teaming with FOX. They tried to create this pac at night thingy. The pac should have teamed with abc like the old days. This viewership excuse only came about the last 10 years or so. The pac has no one to blame but themselves.

Burt Reynolds in Smokey in the Bandit voice. For the money. For the glory. And for the fun. Mostly for the money.

No one at that school even cares about football anymore. There's no other explanation for the long drought UCLA has been in since the 90s. Plenty of talent, plenty of resources, plenty of potentially supportive of alumni available. Explain to me how this changes anything.

Sissy blue and the Trojan condom guy needs more face time on TV. Makes sense but distance is silly. I hope they don’t use American Airlines to get to their games or else they will never start on time.
