Looks to me like the fan didn't first hit Peppers, it was just accidental on both parts. Then you can see Peppers grab a handful of the dude's clothes before the dude says something. Overall, not a big deal. If fans are on the field, players have to be given some leeway in all of that craziness. But I do think Peppers is at fault here, I just don't think it warrants anything out of it.

Did they seriously rush the field after beating a lesser ranked opponent?

You can tell that the fan who got hit said something that was asking for it, because right afterward Peppers shakes the hand of the older (probably more respectable) buckeyes fan. Goes to show that every fan base has their trash and every fan-base has their class.

The old guy was a coach trying to catch him after the game... but I love how the old man just let him push the guy, didn't fuss at him, got his handshake and let him be.

I'm pretty much ok with any athlete, on his/her field of play, doing this to any fan all up in their shite.

Dude should have kept his mouth shut. No excuse to talk shite to a player on the field after you rush said field where you dont belong.

Yep, no excuse to have a fan get in a player's face on the field.
