It's a 1 year suspension of your license in Idaho for refusing a field sobriety test. Same in WA.

He got a deal. Plead guilty and he has an interlock on his car for 1 year.

Looks to me like he handled the situation pretty well. He was smart not to go through the "give the police evidence to convict me" drill. It's funny how when it's a white male, the media is quick to say he's being non-compliant with police. Never heard much from the media about non-compliance with George Floyd.

Maybe if coach committed a home invasion and held pregnant women at gunpoint, the media would have the same amount of respect for him as curious George

Man, he handled that about as perfectly as you can. Refused the test, asked to speak to his attorney, cooperated, and stayed calm. He's going to fees and little else from this.

and he wasn't that hammered, if at all. He was cognizant enough to realize that was the officer was trying to different ways test him, and that he would be incriminating himself. He also recognized when the officer changed his words from a couple beers to 3 or 4. He has plenty of plausible deniability with the dogs hanging ALL over him even as the cop was talking to him. And the cops have absolutely no evidence he was impaired.

Actually he was pretty smart to not submit to testing or breathalyzer. Hard to prove anything. Attorney will get him a hand slap.

he seemed hammered, but actually spoke pretty clearly at the end.

Mark obviously had a Few too many.

DUI is no joke but how can an officer tell someone they cannot talk to their attorney? He doesn’t have to submit to any of it

He didn’t submit, and got to call his attorney from jail. Life is all about choices, and he made some poor ones. No sympathy for him.

That is how it works. Don't do test and you get off.

he wasn't under arrest, that's why they didn't let him talk to his attorney. And yes, he doesn't have to submit to testing, but then he'll get arrested and then he can talk to his attorney.
