I wouldn't have let it go but I'd have let him off with a warning probably. Throwing a bat 20 feet in the air isn't necessary. There's a line of having fun and acting like this.
Thing is if he hadn't been ejected the pitcher was gonna earhole him on his next at bat anyway and now you have a whole different problem.

looks like he was throwing the bat back to the teams dugout to me. not a egregious foul and shouldn't have been an ejection.
