Okay we have to follow these rules by the powers to be but it’s perfectly fine to protest/ riot/ rampage by the thousands . No church services,no classrooms , no stadiums filled with people but it’s fine to loot pillage and harm others. hypocrites all

There are thugs for cops that should never wear the uniform. What we in society should be looking at is the hiring process of police officers. Appears to me that these are cops gone good from bad based on the increased violence or not properly processed. Either way, the chief of police is responsible for his people and should be fired for his or her lack of integrity and leadership.

Most of the comments are revealing on here. Shows what's important to you. That's why he made the statement to say what should be important. Riots are not good for anything. However the same people who focus on that ignore peaceful protests and say similar things. Anyone remember Kaepernick?! He peacefully tried to get people to listen to him. Even consulted a green beret to be as respectful as possible. Result... similarly lots of people focused on something else. Flag, disrespect, military etc. When those not affected choose not to engage little change happens. When people feel like they are not being hear repeatedly it comes out in a ugly form. Violence is stupid. But most of the comments on this page is toward the minority portion. Even though there is a video of a cop grinding a knee into a guys neck for 8 minutes. Yet there are not many comments about that angering you. You're part of the problem if not part of the solution. Geaux Tigers!

Colin Kaepernick “When civility leads to death, revolting is the only logical reaction. The cries for peace will rain down, and when they do, they will land on deaf ears, because your violence has brought this resistance. We have the right to fight back!

Liberal BS and sucking up to spare LSU of the wrath of the George Soro's personal army of trust fund losers. Denounce the violence. Everyone denounces what the MN cop did. It was wrong and should be punished for the sheer stupidity and senselessness of how and why this incident happened. They deserve to be made an example of. All that said, the violence and rioting is repugnant and has no place in our country. It needs to be put down immediately, and if the President of LSU has to say something - he better renounce violence, riots, hatred and division. He should stress the need for justice and the need for peaceful dialog to try to make a difference. Instead, he did the old diversity, inclusion, progressive playbook dip and twirl of bullshite. This guy is an idiot. Keep looking for a President LSU, or you will lose a die hard fans and members of your alumni over this liberal lawyer politically correct suck up. Get rid of him.

Best damn reply all week. Spot on, perfect response. Glad I saw one common sense post today. Everyone else trying to be P.C. Call it like it is, A white cop fricked up, he will pay the consequences.

LSU is not a “whites only” zone. Like our communities, our student body is populated by a lot of people who appreciate a public affirmation of the commitment to justice and equality. That’s what this is.

He didn’t come out against all the violence and destruction of property by all these THUGS and instead just spewed some easy-to-say bullshite about wanting equality for all. What a joke. I want to see someone of substantial significance come out and go off on the thugs burning down America right now.

We don’t live in a democracy. We live in a republic. One would think that a law professor would know this.
