First day of practice it was too wet to practice on the field. So we practiced on the asphalt outdoor basketball court. Coaches had us running passing routs. I was a nose guard full back running back. We are running passing routs. I’m up and run out and coach makes a bad throw. I dive catch it and jump up run back. Took the skin off my knees and elbows. shite hurt but didn’t want anyone to know. So run back nothin but eyeballs and teeth when I get back. Coach says hey this is practice you didn’t have to do that. I said you threw the ball my job was to catch the ball. They never threw a bad ball to me ever again. Joes got the right stuff. Run hard run fast. My job is to win. And I take that seriously. He has the same
fire. If anyone’s got this it’s him. All Joe....
