Watch: House Speaker Mike Johnson Weighs In On SEC-LSU Feud

House Speaker Mike Johnson became the latest prominent Louisiana figure to weigh in on the ongoing feud between LSU and the SEC.

Johnson, an LSU graduate, spoke with the New York Post on Wednesday and defended his alma mater while suggesting he would be willing to help mediate the dispute. Johnson said "cooler heads need to prevail" — and it appears that may already be happening.

The SEC and LSU began to de-escalate the situation Wednesday following positive conversations between LSU President Wade Rousse and SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey. A scheduled federal court hearing was also postponed as tensions cooled between the two sides.
