Three LSU Assistants In Line For Head Coaching Jobs, According To USA Today

USA Today included three LSU football coaches in their recent list of 31 college football assistants that could be in line for head coaching jobs.

The three were defensive line coach Ed Orgeron, running backs coach Frank Wilson, and offensive coordinator Cam Cameron.

Here is a list of some of the current available head coaching jobs in College Football now:

Southern Cal
South Carolina
Miami
Virginia Tech
Maryland
Minnesota
Illinois
UCF

Nope. Head coach and position coach require completely different skill sets. If a guy wants to be a HC, let him go off to a smaller school and prove it. Then he can move up to the elite schools.

If Coach O goes to Miami and takes Frank as the Offensive Coordinator, that would be trouble for LSU. Miami used to raid New Orleans.

The only one who may be interested in a HC job is Wilson but I don't think he will be offered any of those jobs and he has a better future at LSU.

These kind of statements are crap. Who the hell is USA Today? Any dip shite can right an article and list a bunch of names. I didn't read it but it said 31 names. Anyone on the rant that makes a list of 31 names would have those 3 on it as much as you would have any other assistants. I haven't even read it but I bet it included Kirby Smart, Lane Kiffen, Brent Venables (Clemson) and on and on. Doesn't mean a thing.

Would be very surprised if any of these three departed LSU. Cam has been there done that as well as Coach O. Coach Wilson maybe but he wants to see his recruits succeed up close.

Coach 'O' can receive head coach pay to be our DL coach for all I am concerned.
