Ross Dellenger of Yahoo Sports is reporting that LSU is finalizing a three-year extension for offensive coordinator Mike Denbrock,

Denbrock was a finalist for the Broyles Award this year and led the top offense in the country, averaging 46.4 points per game and total offense (547.8 yards per game).

The 59-year-old coordinator is heading into the final year of his current contract.

Some of the people commenting here are hilarious. He didn't have JD at Cincinnati. Look at his offenses! This is a good move.

Now fire House.

Agree, apparently they are now in the “reviewing coaching performance phase”. Good for them on trying to keep Denbrock, now is the time to get rid of the reason LSU isn’t in the playoff.

He and/or Sloan coached JD up to GOAT status. I hope they both stay.

Take from House and give to Denbrock.

BK's talked about exit interviews with players. Wonder if they're asked about their coaches...and wonder if those coaches are in the room with them at the time?

what we have to realize is thaT THIS IS A SPECIAL qb we have this year. Nuss is good, but if he doesn't come close to the numbers that jd5 had this year, we cant be complaining about it at this point next year saying its all the OC's fault. JD5 had a development year last year so lets give Nuss his year too.

with that being said, i love that we have an OC to develop Nuss next year that is proven.

That's what I'm wondering...when JD came in at 6 am, was Nuss with him? If not, why not? Has Nuss been trying to improve his running ability...get some pointers from the running backs room? If not, why not?

He's seen the blueprint put into action, was he paying attention? I remember watching Burrow on the sideline with headphones on and his backup...haha can't think of his name right now, the one who retired...he was just sitting their not on headphones and NOT listening in. Seemed idiotic to me that they weren't in lock-step.

Does not take a rocket scientist to know Offensive production will go down next year. Dedrick pretty good but he’ll be challenged without Daniels and Nabors.

Denbrock (autocorrect)

1 of 2 important things off BK's checklist. New DC next

Jury is out. I’d have waited til seeing success next year without a heisman QB, and two 1st round WRs

You do know JD wasn't a heisman QB when he got here and was coached up to one?

I wonder who did that.

We’ll see how good he is without JD.

This is quite humorous. Jayden Daniel’s should get the extension…LOL. Coach Denbrock will be very average next year. BTW….. how is Joe Burrow’s co oc making out now? Thought he was a guru…..

He is the ?C at Buffalo. The bills offense has looked great since he took the reins

The idea that Denbrock wasn’t very important with regard to JD5s success is pretty ludicrous. By your logic…we didn’t even need an OC.

Daniels needed some serious coaching up, don't you remember? he always had the tools to do what he did, and couldn't, or wouldn't do it. so yeah, denbrock and sloan deserve a lot of credit
