LSU sophomore defensive tackle Siaki Ika is reportedly entering the NCAA Transfer Portal, according to 247 Sports.

With the Tigers shifting to a 4-3 defensive front from a 3-4, the 6-foot-4, 340-pound nose tackle has seen his reps diminish. According to Geaux247 reporter Shea Dixon, Ika met with Orgeron on Tuesday to discuss his playing time.

340 lb DTs don't fit in a 1 gap 3-4 front. He's a prototypical 2 gap nose tackle.

He went to a school designed around his talents. The school shifted its scheme. He’s supposed to stay? He’s not turning his back on LSU, just doing what’s best for him based on LSU’s decision. If LSU suddenly switched to option offense the QBs would be leaving, too.

I'm in no way a hater but leaving "your" team mid year says a lot about a young man and I honestly don't wish him luck.
