Bruce Feldman with Fox Sports is reporting that former LSU head coach Les Miles has "emerged as a frontrunner" for the Kansas job.

Kansas announced Sunday that David Beaty has been fired but he will coach out the remainder of the season before moving on.

Current Kansas athletic director Jeff Long is very familiar with Les Miles and this could be his second go-around at hiring the mad hatter.

Long tired to hire Les Miles away from LSU when he was the athletic director at Arkansas in 2012. They also spent eight years together at Michigan.

Defenses are weaker in the Big 12. If he can bring in big backs, a beefy OL, and somebody, anybody who can develop a QB, he should do well by year 3.

I really really hope they hire ole Les. He would be a fantastic fit there and my mancave would certainly have a couple Kansas flags or other types of memorabilia scattered among my LSU gear.

Found it. FYI, in case anyone interested and needs to be refreshed. A Kansas hire of Les would help to reduce the payout. LINK /

how ironic would it be if he goes back to the Big 12 and throws it all over the place like he did at Okie Lite?
