It's been rumored that a live Tiger will be inside LSU's Tiger Stadium for the Alabama game on Saturday night, and PETA is not happy about it...

Here's what PETA Foundation Associate Director of Captive Wildlife Research Klayton Rutherford had to say:
quote:

"It’s shameful and out of touch with today’s respect for wild species that LSU has bowed to Gov. Landry’s campaign to display a live tiger at its football games to amuse the fans. LSU rightly ended this idiotic, archaic practice nearly a decade ago after recognizing that it was cruel to subject a sensitive big cat to the noise, lights, and crowds in a football stadium. Whether the tiger is confined to campus or shipped in from elsewhere, no reputable facility would subject a tiger to such chaos and stress, and PETA and nearly 50,000 of its supporters have already called on Landry to let up and leave big cats alone—and are now urging LSU to grow a spine and just say no."

LSU should probably provide arms and live ammo to ROTC units to protect the tiger from being confiscated and euthanized by PETA.

What would PETA say if we kill the Tiger at half time wearing an Alabama jersey?

I bet your typical PETA supporter is also a huge supporter of murdering unborn humans.

2016 nobody cared. 2024 and the week minded amongst us are tormented at the prospect of LSU rolling a cage with a Tiger out before the game. That is how fast cultures change, and it apparently doesn’t take much. They blow with the wind directions.

If we don't publish PITA's comments, read about, or think about them, do they really even exist? That's what I'm hooting for.

With all due respect, f*** PETA & I don’t really care if the tiger takes the field if it isn’t Mike.

PETA is a political arm of democrats much like “planned parenthood”.

Why is it that only cute, furry life is worth protecting from harm? What about snakes, spiders, fleas and the ongoing genocide of mosquitoes? Life is life after all.

stupid stunt. instead of focusing and enjoying lsu v. alabama, we now have idiot distractions that bring in a far left organization to comment on the situation. The game will be exciting enough without negative distractions.
keep the politics out of football ffs.

I wonder if they had any conversations with BK and/or Woodward about this or if the powers that be made the decision and told them their thoughts didn’t matter

"PETA has remained silent regarding the euthanasia of "Peanut" the squirrel and "Fred" the raccoon."

LSU and it's fans should ignore this fake animal rights organization.

Amazing how much of our fanbase has aligned itself with PETA. Next there will only be vegetarian options at the concession stands

I'm all for the tradition, however, there is only one Mike. The fake is where this one gets derailed.
