Penn State's James Franklin was a hot name when the head coaching jobs at USC and LSU became available earlier this season but the 49-year old coach will be staying put and signing a new 10-year contract with the university.

Franklin's new deal with reportedly worth $85 million.

LSU could be announcing Ed Orgeron's replacement as soon as Sunday after the Texas A&M game so be sure to follow along on the Coaching Changes Board as the search winds down this week.

I need someone to casually mention to my boss that LSU is looking at me so I too can get a ridiculously large raise.

Seriously, wth would we want this guy? If you can't beat ohio you can't beat the gumps. Never wanted
user avatar
Not saying I want him but he don't get the talent there that can be had here. Good talent yes, but not LSU talent across the board.

I didn’t/don’t want CJF to be the next LSU HC either BUT we could do a LOT worse IMO. I’ll just say that any HC who can win at Vandy must be a pretty damn good football coach!

Money...Money...MONEY! He's staying at Penn State would be a real good assumption!

Good, let him stay at Penn St.
