Professional scouts from 15 NFL teams were on hand to view LSU’s practice on Tuesday, according to NOLA.com:
quote:

The sidelines at practice had a different look as there were plenty of NFL scouts on hand throughout the day. Tuesdays on non-conference home games under Les Miles were scheduled as days when NFL scouts could come in and several teams took advantage of the day.

LSU had two rooms full of scouts watching practice and there were well over 30 scouts in attendance. At practice, scouts from the New York Jets, Miami Dolphins, Jacksonville Jaguars, San Francisco 49ers, San Diego Chargers, Seattle Seahawks, New York Giants, Oakland Raiders, Atlanta Falcons, Green Bay Packers, Arizona Cardinals, Houston Texans, Minnesota Vikings, Kansas City Chiefs and Dallas Cowboys were observed. Also in attendance was a scout from the CFL's Ottawa Redblacks.

Before i read comments, were the Saints there? I'd say no. No excuses because it was a bye week.

I don't think I like this. The players need to focus on the games and the team. This Takes their focus away from that and gets them thinking for themselves

No scouts at practice, Gotcha. What's your recruiting pitch?

All this talent right up the street and not one Saints scout goes. AND IT WAS A BYE WEEK!!!! No excuse not to be in attendance. But they reach for guys from Bama that don't produce (Traded a first to move back in the first round for Mark Ingram) and hold on to guys from Bama that never produced (Roman Harper). Then they sit back and watch LSU guys tear them a new arse hole for the next 10+ years. They just had a LSU linebacker get a pick six on them against Atlanta. SMH....

I guarantee no one from the New Orleans Sants was there. They would rather reach on a guard from unknown U. Then take one from LSU.

Don't you think there'd be more interest in the Saints if just a few of the big names from LSU were kept around for us to continue to route for?? Isn't it all about local fan interest? Plus top 5 national defensive talent and no one for the Saints gives a shite.

30 scouts there to watch practice. And people actually don't think we have enough to beat Bama.

29 NFL scouts. Even 1 from Canada. But the Saints aren't interested, even though it's an hour drive.

15? Seems like a low number.

if the players practice harder with scouts around, why not keep them around every week?

If the Saints hypothetically drafted the best LSU available, they'd be a better team today.. Not an exaggeration- assuming Brees is still the QB.

IF the Saints had moved to San Antonio or Los Angeles we would not have to hear about them damn time a topic like this is brought up.

It's all on Payton. Bobby Hebert has repeatedly said that Payton MAKES ALL THE DECISIONS. Bobby said that Payton is the closest thing the NFL has to the late Al Davis.

Now you know why those loupy counts in Gainesville chose to suck cock by choice instead of play LSU.

The Saints couldn't drive an hour down the road?

But Sean Payton would leak our secret playbook to his buddy Nick Saban, wouldn't he?

They will always be the Aints. The greatest coach they ever had, and he doesn't know the talent 65 miles away.
