LSU WR Jonathan Giles Enters The Transfer Portal

LSU wide receiver Jonathan Giles has reportedly entered his name into the NCAA Transfer Portal, which allows other schools to contact him.

The senior from Missouri City, Texas originally transferred to LSU from Texas Tech and had to sit out the entire 2017 season.

Giles picked the No. 7 jersey in 2018 but switched to No. 12 after a slow start to the season. He finished the 2018 season with just 10 receptions for 59 yards.

Good luck to this Tiger. Hoping he took advantage of the tutors and academic advantages athletes have access to. He is in a position of great competitive skill. Wish him nothing but the best. Heck, he could still get pt this season.

Great decision, would be a stretch to get playing time with the receiver talent we have and he can get a fresh start. A shame it did not work out.

I can certainly understand his decision. He had so much promise and even was given THE jersey, but sometimes expectations do not pan out with reality. I wish him well, I think he saw the writing on the wall...this is the right move for him.

I really had high hopes for Giles when he transferred from TT. I hate that it didn't work out for him, but I do wish him the best in his football career.

Good kid. Too much hype before setting foot on the field! Expectations were set way too high and sadly he didn’t meet them. Good luck to him!
