Devin White's suspension for the first half of the LSU-Alabama game on Nov 3 will stand, according to LSU Senior Associate Athletic Director Robert Munson. Per NOLA.com:
quote:

“Discussions with the SEC made clear there is no process for appeal,” Munson said. “The suspension will stand.”

The discussions were not contentious, Munson said. The rule as written just left no chance at an appeal. Alleva spent the past 48 hours trying, but there wasn’t much he could do.

Sophomore linebacker Patrick Queen will likely fill in for White until he returns in the second half.

All Patrick Queen needs to do is to be between lights out and serviceable for 2 quarters and White will take it from there. After all this is major minutes for someone who might start next year. And Frick the SEC!!

Just because there's no process spelled out in a rule book doesn't mean they can't change the call. It just means there's no pre-planned procedure for how you do it, not that it isn't allowed. They're interpreting the lack of rules to prohibit anyone from questioning the decision, making themselves the little football dictators we're calling them out to be. I agree that for the time being we should shift to supporting and cheering for the team and not getting bogged down on this, but something needs to be done this off-season; it's simply unjust and they (the SEC) know it.

Alleva is a pussy. Didn’t really expect him to get anything done. Public backlash was only hope.

He did go to battle for Futon, and is the main reason Fulton is playing.

An appeal isn’t necessary. The SEC can overturn the decision if they choose or want to.

The team is moving on and I think the Tiger Faithful should do the same. This team is bringing us joy and is better than advertised! They will give their all to best Bama and we need to do the same.

Hell no. Bring the hate and keep stoking the fire for the game. Tiger Stadium needs to be angrier than ever before.

The only loss on our schedule was influenced by the arc. LSU had to travel to Gainesville 2 years in a row due to the hurricane. Alleva got played by the uf ad and the SEC too. Hire an attorney, file a lawsuit, then have the suspension delayed for another less impactful game.

What about appealing to the NCAA? Of course the SEC is going to deny anything LSU wants.

Devin White needs to sue the SEC and ask a judge for an injunction (postponement of his punishment) citing irreparable harm. See: Brady, Tom

If Tua was suspended they’d find a way to hear an appeal.

I can hear it now all over the news, " In a Unprecedented move, The SEC will hear a appeal from one of it's players !!" Paul Finebaum calls it "A astounding piece of bravery by the player and what a loyal act by Alabama to stand behind one of its players that was unfairly charger with a penalty " .... Thats how it would fly, Promise you
