LSU junior quarterback Justin McMillan announced Wednesday morning that he is transferring out of the program.

McMillan recently graduated from LSU and will be able to play immediately at his next school. His departure means that Tigers are down to just two scholarship quarterback on the roster.

The Cedar Hill, TX native played in just two games during his time at LSU.

In his transfer announcement below, McMillan thanks former coaches Les Miles and Cam Cameron by name but did not mention Ed Orgeron or any of the other coaches currently on LSU's staff.

Hmm, no mention of Coach O but did give credit to Miles and Cam?

First thing I noticed. Quite telling, I think.

You gonna blame Coach O for recruiting QBs who do not finish at LSU when he's only coached one full season?

Wow the grass is always greener on the other side. Now they think they just gonna head to another college and be a starter. Guess there wont be any competition anywhere else.

Honestly, they could. They're both talented. We just have other talented QB's here. Problem with McMillan is he has one year left to play, though I'm surprised he didn't also have "package" plays to supplement Burrow to entice him to stay.

Seems a little late to transfer and expect to be a starter somewhere. Only a little over 2 weeks before the start of the season. Not much time to get enrolled somewhere else and try to learn a new offense...but best of luck to him

JM#12 was never going to be a starter at LSU. Good luck to him. Hope he finds a place to land.

Well of course he thanks Cam and Miles. They recruited him. Hope Lowell and he find good spots where they fit the scheme and can make an impact. You hate to see talented kids become the victim of coaching changes and whatnot. Have to wish them the best of luck.

Tigerdroppings with the CNN style fake news. We have 2 scholarship QBs but have more on roster.

Worse than you think. I played NAIA. The college is now a div II. Maybe they will offer trash Mcmillian a partial?

I hate to see him go, but he was basically off the depth chart. At this point in his career, I don't blame him at all for trying to find some playing time somewhere. Best of luck to him and thanks for being a Tiger!

I said it more than once retaining all would be far superior in IQ. LSU never demonstrated an abundance of offensive savvy.
