Former Middle Tennessee punter Grant Chadwich has reportedly committed to LSU and will be signing with the Tigers.

Chadwick, a freshman from Tullahoma, Tenn., punted 51 times this season with a 43.4-yard average. 13 of his kicks went 50 or more yards, and 21 were downed inside the 20-yard line, according to his MTSU bio.

He will have three years at LSU and likely be an instant starter, with Blake Ochsendorf exhausting his eligibility.

Thank God!! Our punting last year was atrocious.

This might be the biggest position upgrade we’ve made in the portal.

Will he be the instant starter like the article says or does Peyton Todd still have another year and the two of them will compete?

I hope he can punt it further than 35 yards.

Great! We need a punter who can flip the field!

He won't flip the field but at least LSU won't lose the equivalence of 4 first downs per game in an exchange of punts with the opponent's punter. LSU's punting was embarrassing to say the least.
