We truly have some dumb arse idiots as so called fans. Real fans care about players' mental and physical well-being. They have families that they will visit who may die from this virus. That's reality. Get over you personal feelings. These players hold the power and it does the team no good for some of our own fans to call them whatever you want. They have every right to make a decision for themselves just like you. We may or may not have a season this fall. Nobody knows. I am fine with either and would be just as satisfied if we played in the Spring.

It is what it is. Hopefully, he does come back next year. With Brennan a senior and Derek a junior, it’s natty time.

Hey people and other creatures, his family and friends have had a terrible ordeal with Covid-19, here in Mobile. He is clearly high risk, there will never be a full season anyway. He will be with us better than ever for next year when it really will count. We have zero chance of having full season this year.

There will be no season.

This may be moot in the end, unfortunately.

He was in for a big year. Now he is a 6th round pick if he gets picked.

Article said he will return to the team next year. Basically redshirting. It will be a huge mistake for him looking at the upcoming talent behind him

Anything that protects against the concerns he may have for he and his family is far from a big mistake.

What’s with all the hate for an LSU player? Y’all don’t know what’s going on in this dude’s life. Grow up

Lol @dgnx6 you have 1 thing in common with this guy—you’re both living in the same time frame. That doesn’t mean you know what’s going on in his life.

Why do I think we never see Farrell play again

That's not smart on his part honestly. This is going to hurt his future career in the nfl playing football without him playing this season. He needed to have a good year imho to get a good draft grade, now he will definitely not be drafted and will have to join a team and hope to make it as a FA. Not smart.

Edit: didn't realize he was going to return to LSU next year. Still though, this virus is going to be around next year and for a long time to come. It's going to be something we deal with like the flu every year. So, what happens next year when the virus is still here? Is he going to sit out again? Lol, people are making this virus out to be way more serious than it is. The one couple I know personally that caught the shite stayed home for 2 weeks and are fine. The, had mild symptoms like a nasal infection type deal, so they thought, and they went to the Dr and tested positive for the virus. The man had it worse and he has a history, of health problems like strokes/heart disease, and he was just fine. The severity of this virus is being blown way out of proportion imho. This is a dumb decision by Farrell to me. He may not even have a starting spot when he plans on returning next year with the talent we have and the way we are recruiting. He's making a mistake.

Let’s hope and pray he stops into the comment section to read about the TWO people you know that have had it. Lol everybody rest easy! “ImayGoLesMiles” has given the all clear!

The virus will still be around next year but there also is a vaccination thought to be had within that time frame as well. Man some people can be so dumb. Can't see past their nose. It's sad.

This comment section is depressing to read. So many assholes in here. Neil, if you or your family reads this, please know there are much better humans than these cheering for you and your family to get through this as healthy as possible.

What do you think the chances are that a 21 yr. old athlete contracts COVID-19 and dies? I'll give you a hint, his chances of dying from the flu are at least 5 times greater!
user avatar
Tigers4Lyfe45 months
@Jeff Do you realize that it isn't just about the player himself? Obviously you don't. You are dumb!

I mean, they play through every flu season. We've had players out over the years with illness. Did the whole team get their flu shots?

Take it for what's it's worth. Rumor is, the season is going to be moved to some version of Spring. I am not stating it as fact, but I have heard that's what is being talked about.
user avatar
Tigers4Lyfe45 months
That's been an option and being talked about for months now.

You can't blame the kid at 319 lbs. It's the life he's chosen and he's deciding to protect himself. It's up to him, nobody else. But he shouldn't receive a scholarship this year. The government will loan him anything he needs anyway.

He’s going to graduate and transfer. He was competing for a spot as a senior, not solidifying his spot.

How dense can these football players be? Someone is giving him really bad advice, I hope he’s not getting his “facts” from the news.

My gut instinct was to call him a pansy, but then I read “his family was hit hard.” Reminded me that although it is rare, there are rare cases where some pretty awful things are happening to families due to this stuff. Understandable if he is apart of one of those families.
user avatar
dgnx645 months
So his family was hit hard when he wasn't playing football? So how is not playing football going to change that?

Will laugh when he catches the coronavirus anyway, gets sick for a couple days, then realizes it’s not that bad, and begs to play this season. These dumb fricks act like they can’t get it if they don’t play. Might as well live life and play.

I would never hope that someone gets sick from this thing. Not even the many idiots posting about it like its the flu here on TD. Maybe you can inject yourself with bleach...

Yeah, frick this guy for not putting his health and safety on the line so I can watch some FOOTBALL from my couch. What a little bitch. The amateur athlete who’s given everything he’s had for this team, doesn’t want to give more so I can feel like things are normal again? Pussy.

@ImayGoLesMiles You do realize the percentage points decrease by a great margin if he doesn't play right? No you don't because you're a dumbass.
