LSU quarterback Joe Burrow spoke to reporters on Wednesday after practice and said that his record-setting performance vs. Vanderbilt last Saturday was his "worst" game of the season.

Burrow finished the game with 398 passing yards and six touchdowns, which set a school record for most passing touchdowns in a single game.

When he was sacked in the 2nd quarter, he was limping a bit and it affected his play for several series.

His worst game this season is probably a career game for most QBs.

Yea while still a phenomenal game, he did miss Marshall on a go route in the end zone when he waited to long to throw it. And obviously the flippant throw away on the sideline. Those were really the only 2 bad throws/decisions I saw him make.

He did nearly throw a hook shot interception right to a defender.

I love how he demands so much of himself. He loathes the mistakes he makes. I see him playing very well even at the next level some day.

Thank God he sees improvement...because let some of these fans tell it LSU has zero problems.

I guess a 9 is worse than a 10. That is a fact.

The fact that he knows and says it's his worst game, says it all.

I felt like the 1st quarter was sharp then got really sloppy, which is understandable. Dominating as he was, it’s easy to get complacent and lose focus as the game advances.

Agreed. Vandy played a 38-31 after the first quarter.

I'd agree with Joe's assessment. Probably his worst game. But still a very good QB performance.

The crazy thing is, he is probably right. That's how good he has been. He had unbelievable numbers and still played lights out. But he missed a few throws that he hit in the first 3 games.
