According to this tweet from Ross Dellenger, the public is betting heavy on LSU to hit the under on its Over/Under win total of 7.5 this season

Also in the tweet is how the public is betting the College Football Playoff winner and the Heisman.

I think 7 wins is probably spot on. I think that's why folks are playing the under. That half a point makes a difference.

LSU is ranked at 25, a rating that's below five of their opponents. So, strictly on the basis of preseason rankings, LSU is ranked above seven opponents. They'd have to win against those seven teams and upset at least one of the others to reach eight wins. Not saying it's a solid bet either way, but it seems like the over/under is on point at least from the preseason ranking perspective.

I'm a bama fan and I think LSU is underrated this year. I'm predicting LSU beats Miami 17-14 in the opener and launches them to a 9, maybe 10, win season.

Finally a Bama fan that's not full of hate! Thanks for the support. I'm actually hoping they can blow Miami out. They need to gain some confidence. If we can pull it off against Miami and Auburn we have a chance for sure.

Yeah, we know more about LSU than most people taking the under. They are drinking the media koolaid. Truth is that we don’t even know what we are going to get on offense. The defense alone is good enough to grind out 8 wins. Also, Miami is immensely overrated.

I think you have it backwards. The fans are drinking their own Koolaid. Our defense is not good enough to carry a bad offense to 8 or more wins.

7-5 is a major feat for Kentucky, not LSU. Idgaf how hard the schedule sets up.

I did it at Beau Rivage, but IP, Golden Nugget, Hard Rock and likely others all have a sports book now.

Golden Nugget had it at 6.5 too, I think 7-5 is doable

Well, people in general are stupid, especially when it comes to money and gambling. Secondly, we don’t know where LSU stacks up, but from a psychological edge standpoint going into a season, nothing gets kids and coaches juices flowing like an underdog “us against the world mentality”. So bring it on!
