During a day of workouts and endurance testing for the LSU football players on Tuesday, freshman defensive back Donte Jackson ran a 4.24, according to NOLA.com.

Those tests were being done today, and former Riverdale star and current LSU freshman defensive back Donte Jackson ran a blazing 4.24, according to multiple sources. Jackson, the defending 100-meter Louisiana State champion, with a time of 10.3, already had a reputation for his speed, but it's safe to say that the legend will only grow after today's showing.
Jackson tweeted out the following on Tuesday afternoon:
The talented athlete from Riverdale High School in Metairie, La is listed as defensive back on LSU's official roster but with the kind of speed that Jackson has, look for the coaching staff to find away to get the ball in his hands on offense and special teams.

Les Miles even talked about using Jackson on offense, defense, and special teams similar to how USC used talented freshman athlete Adoree Jackson last season.

I agree with you Les, they need to back off a little bit.

You Miles bashers are so idiotic. All you do is whine about the lack of an LSU passing game as Miles has never thrown the football. It was all of two seasons ago when LSU was setting offensive records with Mett at QB and I do believe that Landry and Beckham both were pretty damn talented and were both "incorporated into the offense" pretty damn well. Last season LSU went into the season with a very young and inexperienced offense. The QBs had 1 significant drive between them. The WRs were true Freshmen replacing 1st round NFL caliber talent and the RBs were also true Freshmen replacing an experienced NFL talent like Jeremy Hill. In you Miles bashers eyes none of what I just pointed out is relevant because you are simply obsessed with twisting reality to suit your agenda which is to attempt to portray Miles as incompetant and unsuccessful. The only way for you Miles bashers to accomplish your goal is to flat out lie which is what you are doing and you know it. I know it too.

Wouldn't have worked that well with Patrick Peterson.. He cramped up a lot in college. Against Alabama, he was on the sidelines dealing with cramping and Julio Jones took one to the house which was a HUGE play in that game. If PP was in, LSU might have won that one. PP barely could play D and return kicks. Playing offense too would have meant less of PP on D because he would probably be cramping up on the sideline. Looking forward to Donte Jackson!

Well, and everyone knows that dreds add .1 - .2 to your 40 time. Cut them off and he'd be good enough for the Olympics.

Even if it was a hand-timed 40, that still likely puts him in the 4.3-4.35 range... which as we all know is obnoxiously fast.

Kid's going to be special.
