Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports
Former LSU tight end Thaddeus Moss announced his retirement from football on Monday via social media.

Moss was a key player on the 2019 LSU National Championship team and finished that season with 47 receptions for 570 yards and four touchdowns, two of which came in the title game over Clemson.

He signed with the Washington Football Team as an undrafted free agent following the 2020 NFL Draft but was waived in August.

He spent time with Washington, the Cincinnati Bengals, and the Birmingham Stallions of the USFL. He signed with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the CFL in February but was cut during training camp.

That was an awesome catch. But I loved the way you could tell that he ENJOYED the game. When they were reviewing that catch, they kept showing him waiting on the decision. He had the biggest smile on his face. Every time you saw him he was smiling. loved this guy!

I’ll never forget getting loud while watching the games when he would go get the ball over a DB “HE GOT MOSSED!!”

I don't know why but it makes me happy that Randy Moss got to see his son (who he had to know wasn't an NFl caliber player) excel and win a championship on the national stage. Thad did his old man proud every week, and had more than a few crazy highlights.

Wish him the best! He played for the letters on his helmet and not those on his back like another son of a famous WR.

Guy caught everything that was remotely near him and was clutch. Will always appreciate his effort and time in BR. Funny that he seemed like a unicorn for multiple years due to injury and then burst on the scene in 2019.
