Former LSU Tiger Lloyd Cushenberry was named the starting center for the Denver Broncos, according to the team's Week 1 depth chart.

Cushenberry was the Broncos 3rd round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. Per The Denver Post:

A week ahead of their season opener against Tennessee, the Broncos released their first unofficial depth chart of the season Monday and rookie Lloyd Cushenberry is listed as the starting center.

Cushenberry’s practice time with the first-team offense picked up late in training camp when Austin Schlottmann had to slide over to right guard due to Graham Glasgow’s right ankle injury. Cushenberry, a third-round pick from LSU, will be the Broncos’ third Week 1 center in as many years.

All this kid did at LSU was keep his head down and work his arse off. Now all that hard work has paid off. That’s one of the great things about being a fan of college football & LSU is watching these guys come in as high school kids, grow and become pros and achieve success. Proud of you Lloyd. Class act & a great Tiger

could not have happened to a more deserving individual. cush is all class, all the time. unassuming, hard working, smart and badass at the same time. not an OBJ diva and one to have your kids look up to. here’s to what I hope is a very long injury free career. other than burrow, he might be our most missed player going forward. people have no idea how big his contribution was.

Still shocked he didn't go higher in the draft. Dude had NFL written all over him. Now he gets the respect he deserves!
