I don't understand what happened. Devon White played the second half, there were billboards paid for there was an airplane flying over with a banner that said free Devon White ,people wearing white shirts. But there was not one point on the board for LSU.

His name is Devin White.

Defense is as good as Bama's but offense is only as good as Mississippi State's.

LSU will go 11-2 with a win over either Ohio St or Michigan in the Sugar Bowl and that is an outstanding season. Coach Orgeron is doing a great job.

The clowns who downvote this are tools. This game aside, this team has a very good year and will end well.

Win out. Recruit the meanest, strongest o linemen you can find, make the ones we have now as strong, nimble and mean as possible. Our strength and conditioning needs an upgrade.

IMHO, the LSU Defense held their own for most of the game.

Our D gave up nearly 600 yards, about half of that in the first half. I realize our offense didn't help them out at all, but our D was getting manhandled from the start.

We are not in the same class as Bama. Sucks but it is true and the point was driven home last night.

LSU Defense is close to Alabama's level.

Defense gave Joe and Company plenty of chances to put up some points because they were moving the chains. Which imo would have changed the complex of the game. Alas,,,,,

Let's get something straight. This is NOT a rivalry. Sure, most games over the past 10 years between these two have been relatively close. However, with the exception of defensive back, they are better and have been better than us at every level and every position..... including coach/coordinator. This has been the norm for a decade. Even the last time we beat this team in 2011 "Game of the century" Alabama rebounded and kicked our arse in the National Title game 2 months later (by shutout). I repeat: This is NOT a rivalry.

You want a "rivalry" with Florida... ok, sure. You want a "rivalry" with Auburn... that sounds realistic. Just look at the history of the match ups and the back and forth win results warrant the title of rivalry. Nick Saban and company CLEARLY have our number. So until we consistently recruit 5 star QBs/O Lineman we will continue to suffer the same outcome against this team. We compete with them at the skill positions but that is where the competition ends. Line of scrimmage we get beat up and pushed around. Going off of last nights results, we have a long way to go to even be considered Alabama's "rival."

It would certainly become a rivalry if LSU were to pick up Tua's brother, Taulia! Wouldn't that be something?!? Good game Tigers! Your defense was able to do what other teams could not and you should still be proud of your team and coach. They just ran up against a juggernaut. Someone has to lose and you now know what you need to do to improve. But you are still better than most. Best of luck for the rest of the season... I doubt you lose again. I, and most of the Bama fans, will root for you the rest of the season. Go bowling and kick some arse!

I support all these tigers. This is the most dominant team of the most dominant dynasty in college football history. They just had better overall athletes. We need to keep pushing, we will get there.

It’s not losing. It’s putting up zero points. It was Bama’s offense that was the concern, not defense. Screw that goode egg. I hope they win and I’ll watch games from now on if it doesn’t greatly inconvenience my schedule. But I won’t care like I used to if they don’t care.

Holding no longer called. SEC got what they wanted all along.

We got away with some holding as well. What was frustrating were the missed personal fouls in the first half. Joe Burrow was pushed when he was clearly out of bounds...right in front of the officials. Wouldn't have mattered I suppose but still worth noting.

I'm a big Tiger fan, my son goes to LSU, but I went to Bama! I really support you guys (except against Bama). But lets get this cleared up guys! Bama had nothing to do with Devin White. He came in the second half and was no more of a game changer than the fellas that played for him in the first half. I understand there are sour grapes but LSU has a really good team and I hope you win every game the rest of the season and win big in a bowl game... Geaux Tigers... but put this collusion conspiracy crap to rest! Support your team; there's no reason to come up with excuses! Man up! Geaux Tigers!
user avatar
atltiger648771 months
Yea, that was the reason. Not that we were dominated from the opening kickoff

Title should be "Alabama Demolish LSU"

Fenwick8671 months
They would have beaten us with a Pac-12 officiating crew calling the game. There were missed calls early but they dominated us in every phase. Still doesn't change how I feel about internal bias and clear conflicts of interest within the SEC.

Held them to under 30, sacked the QB and created TOs. Like 2011, the D did their job. The OL continues to get worked over.

Problem is they held us to under 1 for the second time in 3 years.

atltiger648771 months
Good lord, the D gave up nearly 600 yards. Turnovers? One INT, that was like a punt. You're REALLY stretching here. We got utterly dominated on both sides of the ball.

Am I the only person who thinks we might have scored with Canada still calling plays. This was just as bad as 2016 when emsinger was calling plays as OC in that one too.

Yes
user avatar
Capital B71 months
I don't think the play calling was that bad however, I do not understand the no huddle offense tactic early in the game when you are only down by 9 points. So instead of trying to control the ball and keep that Alabama offense on the sideline while you methodically attempt to push down field, you take about a minute or so off the clock and leave Tua with almost 4 minutes before the half to move downfield after we punt to them and score a touchdown making it 16-0 at half. Questionable coaching to say the least.
user avatar
goater71 months
Well last year with Canada we out gained alabama for the first time since 2010. Two games emsinger called total 321 yards, one with Canada 306. We released a good OC for a bad one, I do believe LSU would have at least scored some last night with Canada. Why would a top Qb come here to play in that system.
