Former LSU Football player and current ESPN analysts Booger McFarland joined the Russillo & Kanell show on Thursday and was asked who he would rather see coaching at LSU next year; Les Miles or Alabama offensive coordinator Lane Kiffin?

It took McFarland a second to respond but he said he would roll the dice with Kiffin.
quote:

"I would roll the dice on Lane," McFarland said. "The game has changed offensively. (Miles) is not going to change. If you see where the game is heading offensively, don't you have to go there?"
No. 18 LSU sitting at the 2-1 (1-0 SEC) still has a lot to play for this season but many think that the loser of this Saturday's game at Auburn will be looking for a new head coach next year.

You can listen to everything McFarland had to say on Russillo & Kanel below:

I totally agree, but I'm biased. I rather see the Dr. Pepper guy on the sidelines than CLM

ESPN's Booger McFarland should probably shut the frick up. He is not helping in any way. This is an after season discussion (that will more than likely happened). Having it now only serves as a distraction to the current team. I'd hope a former LSU player of all people would understand this.

He's advancing himself. He doesn't care about the team.

He's not paid to be a homer and help the team. He's paid to have an opinion. Some of you need to chill about a media personality "making negative comments about LSU." If all he did was kiss their arse all day he wouldn't be very good at his job--se Lou Holtz.

Did he actually play and attend LSU?? Do they even allow him on campus?? Les has had his share of failures, but he wants to replace Les with a coach that has self destructed two other major programs? #ByeFelicia

Yes he actually played. Beastly! Was supposed to be the second coming of Warren Sapp.

Actually, Kiffin had Tennessee on a very good path, and would've probably played for a couple SEC titles by now. USC, he was affected greatly by the sanctions, he recruited well, just wasn't the best HC. They're probably actually regretting ever getting rid of him right now.

Since when did Booger become a comedian?

Same time we realized CLM was an SEC contending HC

If I'm Lane Kiffin, I would realize that I'm better suited as a coordinator than head coach. His past comments and actions show he doesn't handle the spot light leadership role of a team very well.

I used to really like booger, but that is slipping away as he continues to make negative comments about LSU...Kiffin is a walking dumpster fire and the suggestion that he would be good for LSU is about the stupidest shite I have heard in a long time.

Booger needs to stfu. He is becoming a loose cannon. Every week he has some new idea or plan. The problem with all his opinions are they are just TV fodder which numbskulls listen to. There doesn't have to be any sudstance to his opinions because he is nothing more than a talking head.

It's pretty obvious that booger posts on the rant

He thought we'd go 11-1 before the season with that offense. He needs to make up his mind

He thought we'd go 11-1 with an offense that Les said had evolved. It hasn't.

Lane has been a very good HC. However, he was put into some very tuff spots. If we were able to get Kiffen in, and retain all our positions coaches, I wouldn't mind that move. At the very least our offense would be alot better.

Excuse me. I meant to say Lane hasn't been a good HC.

Loved ole Booger as a player. Lane doesn't deserve another shot as a head coach, been a total failure. However he might be a really good offensive coordinator for us, but doubt he would nicky and the gumps.

Let's get this straight. He would get rid of a proven winner for a proven loser

Booger is a good guy but he's been eaten up with the Les has to go crap for years. Lane Kiffen? Really. Says tons about his mindset, dude has failed as a head coach what twice...three times? I wonder if he got a blood transfusion from Finebaum
