Ed Orgeron spoke to media after practice on Wednesday and confirmed that starting running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire suffered an injury in practice yesterday.

Orgeron said Edwards-Helaire had some tests done today but doesn't know the extent of the injury and could not say whether or not he would play in the semifinal vs. Oklahoma on Dec. 28.

Orgeron added that injury was non-contact and "very unusual."

I can say with 100% certainty that Clyde will not play against Oklahoma.

We can beat the doors off Oklahoma w/o CEH. I would definitely like to have him available against either of the other 2 opponents LSU will face in the CFP-FINAL for all Dem marbles tho.

If it's a hammy, can he heal it in 9 days? I think not. Good luck to our talented underclassmen RB's. Baptism by fire. New heroes are made everyday.

Hate to hear this. Was looking forward to seeing CEH in the playoffs. Plenty of remaining good backs though. If they don't get the fumbles and give OU easy scores, Tigers should be fine.

MRI is the soft tissue test done for hamstring/muscle injuries. The result are IMMEDIATE and clesr. He knows exactly what the extent is and knows hes out. It's a hamstring of a player on the verge of moving to the NFL. You cannot under any circumstances, play the guy 10 days later

I knew this was too good to be true. Beat Alabama. Win the SEC. Finish ranked #1. Have your QB win the Heisman Trophy. It was like a fairy tale. This stinks. Plain and simple.

Well it’s freakn game time for our freshman then. Time to put on a show boys!! We have some talent back there. Time for the toys to come off the shelf. Let’s put a hurting on those Sooners who I’m sure believe we have nothing behind CEH. Or any type of run game now. Ha ha ha

If he’s borderline I say rest him. We don’t require his services to curb stomp Oklahoma. While he is our feature back the combination of the remaining backs are quite capable.

Doubt that's an honest answer (doctors would know what's up by now), he's just keeping his cards to his chest. I'm betting on Clyde playing.
