LSU head coach Ed Orgeron addressed the media Monday for his weekly press conference and talk about the response he received from the recruits who were on hand for the win over Florida Saturday night.

Q. Pregame and during the game it was a who's who of recruiting. What does that game and environment done? Since all this attention, what is the recruiting like in the office?

ED ORGERON: First of all, having ESPN Gameday here, playing the Florida Gators, a team that all of us are recruiting the same guys, but the biggest thing that I thought was the difference and helped us in recruiting is you can tell them about Death Valley on Saturday night, but a lot of them’s first time in Tiger Stadium.

A lot of our recruits stayed overnight. My office was busy yesterday morning from 9 till about 6 p.m. with recruits rolling in and out of there, some of them unofficial, two of them on official visits.

To a man and to a parent, they said, Coach, we have never seen nothing like that. We've been around a lot of schools. We have never seen a crowd and atmosphere like we saw last night. What a fantastic job by our fans.

Okra, glad you articulated what I was implying. I can only guess that all the downvoting were due to a misunderstanding.

It was great to FINALLY get UF at home after Aleva screwed us. It would be nice to say this is the norm, but rarely do the stars align like they did on this game. Most home games are like LSU vs Carolina tech at least that's how it felt with our UF inbalance over the last 3 yrs.

so true though. the stars do kinda have to align on these recruiting visits. night game, good LSU team, good visiting team, amped crowd...and a win to cap it off. it's interesting but i think our annual Florida or other early October games are often some of the biggest for recruiting. the decent weather doesn't hurt either.

Unfortunately that atmosphere only happens for night SEC games

Ohio State in 1987 was an epic day game. Stadium was rocking.

That’s not true. There have been plenty of 2:30 games that have been pretty fricking loud. If it’s a top 10 matchup that places will be rocking regardless of the time.

Only thing to make the experience a little more Awe Inspiring... Mike the Tiger in the cage parked next to the Florida tunnel exit to the field... Man O Man ... Dreams of ancient past....

Wait...we have a real Tiger?

But it might make Mike feel bad to go to the game. It's not fair that he has to go if he would rather lay in the shade. SJW's ruin everything.

Texas has a long horn steer on the field, CU has that buffalo they run out, OU has a wagon. Why can't we put MIke next to visitor locker, maybe have a cheer leader bang on the cage. Oh, and don't feed him for a day or so beforehand

This is what Nick Saban is always harping on about the fans and especially the student section has a job to do. Great job fans. It was amazing on TV too. Any kid who watched that game is now an LSU recruit...I guarantee it. It was one of the most watched ESPN games in years.

My first game was Notre Dame 71, I've never forgotten how that stadium shook. Same with USC. I feel bad for guys that weren't around to experience that.

I was 9 years old and there for USC with my dad. USC had themost loaded College team of all time and they all still are in awe of Tiger Stadium to this day. Whagt a night!

79 USC game was unbelievable! I’ve been to Georgia 03 ; Fla 97; and many many more, but to this day they do not compare. I was 17.
