LSU star cornerback Derek Stingley Jr. will have his foot examined by a doctor this week, head coach Ed Orgeron said Monday at his press conference.

Stingley Jr. missed Saturday's game vs. Mississippi State after he re-inured his foot in practice last week. The injury is the same one that forced him to miss practices during fall camp.

He missed last week due to injury, but will just now see a doctor this week? Odd.

A doctor needs to see Deculus. Dude is on the turf more often than a lawnmower.

Yes, he gets knocked down but he continues to get up again and put out effort.

Why didn’t he see one the day after he got hurt? HMO issues?

People on this board can do a better job with injured players than the current clowns in charge.

Shouldn’t he see a doctor every week if he is hurt?

Yes and I’m sure the LSU athletic department has access to all the top doctors in sports medicine to evaluate Stingley Jr.

He is absolutely done. Could have been a great Tiger. Certainly he seems like a great kid

Bummer but not seeing a doctor last week and waiting til this week is a tell tale sign. No doctor in his right mind would recommend a player with Sting's potential to 'get right back out there and start playing'. Even on a mild high ankle sprain.

He’s done. But I totally understand. A recurring foot injury is very serious and would dramatically hurt his draft status. Gotta get that thing better. Just a business decision in 2021…

This dude is done with college ball. He and his father see the writing on the wall and they are basically opting out.

In Bamas Program he would of already seen the best Ankle/Ortho Doc in the US(Like Dr Andrews etc). At Lsu 2 weeks in and still waiting to see a doctor??? Sounds about right.

We'll see what he's made of. Let's give benefit of doubt before back stabbing. This is sign of the times.

Agreed. Hope he plays again but we really haven’t seen much of him the last two seasons. Yes it is a sign of the times. Would not surprise me if he opts out.
