Matthew Emmons-USA TODAY Sports
Ohio State quarterback Joe Burrow announced that he will be leaving Columbus as a graduate transfer to explore other options at another school.

Some believe LSU could be a potential landing spot for the former four-star dual-threat prospect along with schools like Florida, Nebraska, and others.

Head coach Ed Orgeron has said this offseason that he would like to add a transfer quarterback to the roster and Burrow is now the best free agent QB available.

The 6-3, 215-pound prospect from The Plains, Ohio graduated this past Saturday and will have 2 years of eligibility left at his next school.

Why would we want another team's third string QB? No, thanks!

I would’ve been ok with having 3rd string QB Cardale Jones

Pretty sure he was a backup to their conferences offensive POTY...he could still be a VERY good player.

Anybody recruited and tutored by Urban Meyer is most likely better than anyone we've had on campus in the past 10 years.

Won't be Nebraska. Frost already has 2 solid QBs.

Who was the best LSU QB in the last 10 seasons? Zack Mettenberger...a JUCO transfer from UGA. Not the same situation here but I'd take the odds. Get him now!

Another Etling. Cool.

Hey as crappy as Etling was at times, he saved our asses in 2016. That season was going up in flames without him. 2017 too for that matter.

Did you watch the spring game ? Etling was by far the best QB last year. These guys wasn't even getting hit and couldn't complete passes. GTFO

Definitely Nebraska, a chance to play under Frost in that offensive system . I would love for him to come here but that would be selfish of me wishing this offense on him . Granted he could turn it around , we have weapons on offense but who would you trust ? Ensminger or Frost ?

You think OSU lets him go to another Big10 school?
user avatar

Point well taken, totally forgot about Nebraska being in the Big10 . I have some hope .

Can OSU stop him from going to Nebraska since he graduated?

None of our QBs are stepping up. Bring him in.

If he comes to LSU, look for a 11-1 season. If he does not come to LSU, prepare for 6-6. Book it and the coaching staff knows it

He is really good. Sad to see him go. Too crowded at this position now.

I remember how they were talking about how crowded y'all were and why would Martell go there.

He will not come to LSU. We already have 3 who are so good that our coaches are unable to pick a starter.

They can develop behind him. Guy will have two years, former 4 star and dual threat. You think Bama fans minded Jake Coker winning them a national championship when they had 4 and 5 star recruited players sitting behind him?

I'm as big a Nebraska fan as there is, and I can assure you, he won't be going there. We already have two freshmen on the roster (one redshirt, one true) who are top-notch.
