I don't like 4 teams getting a bye. In basketball and baseball there are no byes everyone plays someone. They should have either 8 teams or 16 teams and there would be no byes.

Yes! Can’t wait for the Alabama vs. Wisconsin match up!

Bama in big trouble quite a few teams will end their foundation I think Kirby smart and UGA already did that

With a 12 team playoff, they can match up Notre Dame vs. Stanford and nobody will care.

Have you seen Stanford lately? They wont be in the 12. Slow decline since Jim

Top 4 get a bye

I like it better than 4, but 12 is too much. Would have preferred 6 (the 5 power conference champions plus one wildcard). No need for conference rematches in the playoff.

Don’t like this. Regular season games will lose their luster now. Part of what makes CFB so great is that every week matters. The playoff already did that in a way. Now you’ll have 3 loss teams making it in.

I can't wait to watch the #1 team play the #2 or #3 team.

If this format is so great, why don’t they use it for Battlebots? Think!

I thought 8 teams would have been perfect…but 12 definitely better than 4. Top 4 having a bye is nice.

I support this. Triples the chance of me being interested in the postseason.

Gets worse and worse

How is this worse. Every single collegiate sport has an expanded playoff field, including lower football divisions.

Even more of a free ride for Bama on the one-off years when they lose 2 games

Well The Big and SEC will have 3 to 4 teams every year so this actually reduces the Bama “do over” situation and makes it easier for other teams to get in.

Saban may retire by then, and the playing field will even out. Can't wait for this...

They haven't lost more than 1 regular season game since 2010. Ridiculous streak.

More championships to come for LSU because if they can get in, our coaching and talent should dominate

Plus more to play for than playing in a meaningless bowl game against Texas tech where our players may not be as motivated
