Since Lane Kiffin will probably be gone from Alabama after this season, Saban ought consider hiring Les Miles to replace Lane as offensive coordinator. As Miles has tons of experience on the offensive side of the ball and had an excellent won/loss record while at LSU. Indeed, I think he would make the perfect coach to replace Kiffin at offensive coordinator for Nick Saban.

As part of his buyout, he MUST seek employment. So chances are good he will get a job. Then again, maybe he'll be an analyst for a while, would be TV gold.

and he still can't admit the offense problems were his fault. He blames it on not having a top QB.

Miles is a program crusher.....nobody wants a guy who kills something that took a lot of time and hard work to build up

We have the top coaches in college football, Herman and Jimbo, extremely interested in coming to LSU, many nationally known broadcasters saying it's one of the top coaching jobs in the America, and you're calling it a crushed program? Miles has built this program for the last 12 years. Could/should it be better? Absolutely. If you look at recruiting, graduation rate, advancement to the NFL, profitable program, guiding young men into their future, best damn venue in college football then I think you have to give Les Miles a lot of credit.

Les will get a job with a major conference team and install a wide open spread offense

I'm guessing that Nick Saban will hire Les Miles to replace Lane Kiffin at the end the season when Lane gets a head coaching job. With all the years of experience Les has on offense, he'll make Saban a fine offensive coordinator.

I can't see Les working in broadcasting. He would be terrible at TV.

I take it you never watched him during the draft on NFL Network. I thought he did very well.

His malaprops might have been the result of not wanting to tell the other team anything useful. As an analyst he doesn't have to hold anything back.

It was just time to go. The team just looks better in every aspect of the game. It's like a cloud has lifted and a weight is off their shoulders.

"I'm very active in seeing what the lay of the land is for my future." Someone should publish one of those bathroom reader books filled with nothing but Les Miles Quotes.

I think that if Lane Kiffin leaves Alabama after this season, that Les Miles would make the perfect coach to replace Lane Kiffin as offensive coordinator at Alabama for coach Nick Saban. After all Les has spent his entire career on the offensive side of the football and he had an excellent won/loss record over at LSU. Therefore, Saban couldn't find a finer coach to replace Lane Kiffin at offensive coordinator.

Prior to last weekend. Les: "I would like to coach again." After 600+ yards of offense. Les: "Sports broadcasting sounds amazing!" Love the guy, but it was time. Grateful for his integrity

He's wearing it to elicit sympathy. "Look at that poor guy still repping the school that wronged him. What a kind heart he has." Guarantee you that is a calculated move.

@emanresu: You obviously missed the confirmed unveiling that Michigan did come back after 2007 offering more money than LSU and he still turned it down. Whatever his faults, don't act like doesn't have some love for LSU

He'll get a decent job at a major conference school if he wants one.
