Update: Justin Fields has committed to Georgia, over Florida State, Auburn, and LSU.

Elite five-star dual-threat quarterback Justin Fields will be making his college decision early Friday afternoon.

Fields, the nations No. 1 quarterback for 2018 is reportedly down to four schools- Auburn, LSU, FSU, and Georgia with the Seminoles and the Bulldogs in the lead.

The 6-3, 221-pound prospect from Harrison HS was a one-time Penn State commit but reopened his recruitment back in June. LSU offensive coordinator Matt Canada is very familiar with the five-star QB as he recruited Fields while he was running the offense at Pitt. Fields recently visited LSU for the Chattanooga game.

Just a month ago, Fields said that LSU is the school that he hears from the most.

What lousy fans we have in this comment section...or the “fans” that populate the boards these last few weeks. Programs going through a tough time yet these boards are disgusting. Bunch of grown arse adults spending their day saying recruits shouldn’t come here and what a dumpster fire of a program we have. You might be displeased, but Dear God what fickle and immature fans we have. Back your “team” at all times, or just bandwagon the Bama’s of CFB. If I were a recruit selecting a school, and read/listened to any of this jargon, I would pass on this school in a heartbeat.

You do realize that many of these comments are from fans who are not really LSU fans don't you?

Our fans are no different from any other fan base in the country. We are all the same. If a recruit based his decision from a fan's perspective he will be disappointed no matter where he chooses.

When a kid makes his announcement in front of all his friends and fellow students he is likely going to the local school. When he announces with only his coaches and family present there is more of a chance he is going out of state.

If he reads the rant, he's not coming.

Why would he want to come to this shite show? What recruit would. You'll see a major slide in recruiting due to the uncertainty.

And posts like this are read by recruits and no wonder they choose another university...

In epic fashion, the kid comes here, saves Orgeron and Alleva's job as we are sold on "look what the future holds" and then when he steps on the field, he ends up being just as bad as Anthony Jennins, Brandon Harris, Jordan Jefferson, Jarret Lee, Hayden rettig, Danny etling, Lindsay scott, Justin McMillan, Stephen rivers, rob bolden, jerrard randall, chris garrett, and Andrew hatch!! Did I miss someone??

Smart kid. Each of the other schools minus FSU will be making a coaching change within the next 2 years.
