After visiting LSU this weekend, dual-threat quarterback Lindsey Scott Jr. from Zachary, LA (Zachary HS) announced that he has committed to the Tigers.

He chose the LSU over Maryland, Tulane, and Harvard.

Scott, a 5-11, 205-pound prospect from Zachary, LA (Zachary HS) was originally committed to Syracuse but decommitted on January 17. The talented QB lead his team to a state championship this past season and was recently named Louisiana Gatorade Player of the Year.

LSU now has 23 commitments for the class of 2016.

I don't understand why height matters this much for QB's at all in college ratings. There are shorter quarterbacks doing just fine in the NFL. It's an outdated mentality of the position.

If I'm 5'11 QB, I'd have gone with the Harvard offer.

Blueboy- I can't tell if you're really as stupid as you sound or if it's an act. Either way, you have the moron act on lock

I'll take a 5'11" 205 QB with everything you want in a QB over none at all.

Charlie Ward? Man who gives a damn? Blueboy sounds like you need to find another team to pull for. Just a little bitter not to mention wrong. Hillarious.

While some excel when they are height challenged, at no point do you ever discount height as being an attribute.

This is what we need. A home-grown BTR kid who hasn't been stuffed so full of his own propaganda he comes in with Heisman predictions. A 3* workhorse with an accurate arm and a love for the University.

I expect good things from this kid...in time.

He deserved that offer. I'm glad he pulled the trigger on it. Best of luck to him.

Not encouraging this kid to go to Harvard borders on unethical.

prplhze2000 - you have the wrong Lindsey Scott. His dad did not go to UGA, he went to Southern and is in the Hall of Fame at Southern.
