LSU extended an offer to five-star Alabama quarterback commit Tua Tagovailoa from Honolulu, HI on Tuesday.

He is No. 1 dual-threat quarterback in the country for 2017.

Tagovailoa, a 6-1, 212-pound dual-threat prospect has been committed to the Crimson Tide since May and is expected to enroll early.

One of his main recruiters at Alabama is offensive coordinator Lane Kiffin, who has been recently linked to the LSU job.

LSU currently has two quarterbacks committed for the class of 2017 in pro-style prospect Myles Brennan from Bay Saint Louis, MS and dual-threat passer Lowell Narcisse from Saint James, LA.

damn coach O is one dumb frick. i was all for coach O then ya go out and do something stupid and offer a dual threat qb who is currently committed to bama. he had brennan dead locked in to lsu. did coach O just walk into football yesterday. did he have a brain tumor? maybe he need to take his medicine and he is not thinking clearly. if you got any common sense any kinda brain working up stairs, you do not say that you are a dual threat reference or gearing towards dual threat. miles had dual threats for yrs and didnt know what to do with those guys. hope coach orgeron comes to his senses and pulls that offer from that hawaiin dual threat. you got harris already and see the results. you might as well offer les miles his job back, bout to be repeat of past history

By any means necessary to try to beat Bama .

We have a whiney fan base.. Cry we only offer 1 qb.. Cry we offer 4.. There is a reason we offered theses 2 let it play out

Man I hate the spread offense
Reply53 months
Rather keep our current commitments
Reply53 months
I thought O said he was only looking for pocket passers?
Reply53 months
You didn't hear the presser? He flipped the script on that as well. He wants Spread Dual Threat guys now

Holy crap, if you pull Kiffin and Tua from Bama, that is a MAJOR freaking coup.

Why are we offering so many qbs? Like all of them will or see the field. Come on man we have back up after backup after backup.

This kid is a difference maker, and if ever a team needed star quality at a certain skill position under center, it's LSU.

I don't mind it at all. Get all the QBs. Also everyone freaking out about Brennan not being dual threat. If Kiffin does come to LSU, he doesn't only play dual threat guys. Cooker was dual threat
Reply53 months
I find it interesting that the kid is a 5 star Bama commit, but with the possibility of a flip, Gorney suddenly states that he's a 4 star.

lol.....'guess that's why they always win the Rivals < and other > sites Top Recruiting Classes each year !! ( Of course, if Les was still around I could understand that philosophy )but, at least now, they're giving us a little wiggle-room hinging on the fact that the present staff can develop our QB's or else they'd dropped him down to a 2 or 3-Star !

I don't think Brennan is the type to run away from any competition. We have languished at the QB position for too long. Having too many good QBs is a problem I'd love to see at LSU. I have zero doubt that every one will get a chance, and hard work will pay off.

You guys act like Brennan is the next coming of Peyton Manning or something. If he wants to shy away from competition then that tells me all I need to know about him. If its in his heart to be Tiger then he will sign.

*to be a Tiger

In 2018 the starting QB will either be Lowell Narcisse or Lindsey Scott. 2017 will be an open competition. Brennan isn't ready for college football size wise. He will more than likely red shirt next season. To all the people talking about they don't want to piss Brennan off need to get real. Having too many good quarterbacks is a problem that LSU needs!!!

What kid wants to go to a school with 10 players recruited for 1 position. Lets be real!!
53 months
Then again he was a Cam recruit not a Coach O recruit
53 months
I think Narcisse will be moved to W.R.

man may the best qb win. the more competition we have the better lets just hope there is no qb bias like with the last coaching staff. I love it. keep recruiting till you find one and if brennan want to be another gunner kiel then tear yo az boy. if he truly is a tiger then he will show his feelings and hurt and use it to be the best on the field imo. then throw it back in coach o face like kirk cousins did his gm for not paying him. keep rocking coach o! brennan aint proved ish in college, Brandon harris was once elite and a superstar in the making also.

TigerFanFromBama....GOMAB!!!!! YOU KNOW

If Brennan has the chest of Gunner Kiel, then he will take off because of a long shot offer. Color me prideful, but I wouldn't want someone like that as a Tiger anyways. That being said, I think Brennan is better than that
Reply53 months
Wtf are you even talking about?
53 months
Because Hurts will start the next two years. Recruit the best to be the best.
Reply53 months
Unless Coach O is for sure that Kiffen is coming and that Kiffen had contacted the kid and was told that he will follow you anywhere, this otherwise makes no sense.
53 months
This is ridiculous. Why would Coach O take such a risk with a kid that you dont know if he is even interested and piss off a talented kid that loves LSU?
Reply53 months
I hope Brennan commits somewhere else and lights our arse up. frick O for pulling this bullshite

You sound like a fricking woman. "Oh man, I'm upset because the college I'm committed to offered a scholarship to another Qb." People like you are what's wrong with the world today. Everyone wants hand outs and are not willing to work for their position and earn it. I surely hope Brennan doesn't display the same attitude as you.

Good job, let's make sure we piss Myles Brennan off so he goes somewhere else. fricking idiots
