Four-star Alabama linebacker commit Chris Allen from Baton Rouge, LA told LSU head coach Ed Orgeron this week that he will not be flipping his commitment and is sticking with the Crimson Tide. Per 247Sports:
quote:

“It’s pretty much shut down,” Allen told 247Sports’ Andrew Ivins at the USA Football North American Championship on Tuesday. “I’m going to Alabama.”

LSU has turned up the heat as of late, working to flip the Baton Rouge (La.) Southern Lab product.

"It was very hard decision to pass up my home school that's five minutes away from my house," Allen said. "But you know, Bama has some great coaching staff. Coach Tosh and Coach Jeremy, I really like them. I feel like they'll get me where I need to be."
Allen also added that he wanted to coach Orgeron to know so that he could go out and "get whoever they need to get."
quote:

"I told Coach O I'm probably going to go with Alabama," Allen said. "He was really sad. It made me kinda sad looking at his face. I really just wanted to tell him so they could go get whoever they needed to get."
Allen has been committed to Alabama since late November but the LSU coaching has been working hard to the flip the Baton Rouge native to stay home and play for the Tigers.

The 6-3, 235-pound prospect from Southern University Lab is rated the No. 4 outside linebacker in the country and No. 2 overall player from the state of Louisiana for the class of 2017, according to 247Sports.

LSU currently only has one linebacker commit for the class of 2017 in four-star prospect Patrick Queen from Livonia, LA.

Two names to keep a close eye on as National Signing Day quickly approaches are four-star linebackers Willie Gay from Starkville, MS and Jacob Phillips from Nashville, TN.

Gay will likely decide between Mississippi State, LSU, and Ole Miss. He is the No. 3 outside linebacker in the country for the class of 2017.

Phillips is currently committed to Oklahoma but visited LSU this past week and said that Tigers are the only other school he still allows to recruit him. He is the No. 2 inside linebacker in the country for the class of 2017.

Good luck to the guy. You have to respect his honesty and that he didn't drag the process out once he was sure of his decision.

Guess he wanted to be coached by an experienced OLB coach, instead of a promoted Graduate Assistant. Bad move by O there. Go out and hire an experienced LB Coach to help Aranda.

I think it's pretty clear that the Bama jerkoffs put them up to this the frick with us and to interfere with other recruits whose decisions might hinge on where some 5 star will be competing with them.

One thing's for sure, though. Bama could beat us 20 times in a row, but they're still scared shitless of us.

Poor choice dude. You and Moses will be kicking yourselves when you're watching LSU beat Bama while y'all don't even suit up for first couple of years. Saban stockpiles guys to keep his bankroll flowing. When you do suit up, you'll sit on the bench for 2 years then you'll play for 2 years and go into the draft unprepared for the league. That's how Saban does it. You'll be looking for work after your rookie deal is over. Saban won't prepare you for the league. And given the direction that LSU is heading, and the position that Bama is in, you probably won't see a NC there either. LSU is looking for guys that want to earn a NC. Not sit back and ride the backs of others to get thier. Clearly you don't have what it takes to be a Tiger...
