LSU landed a massive commitment on Wednesday night with five-star wide receiver Tristen Keys giving his verbal pledge to the Tigers.

Keys, a 6-3, 180-pounder from Hattiesburg, Miss., is the No. 1 wide receiver in the country for the class of 2026.

Keys committed to the Tigers over Tennessee, Alabama, and Texas A&M.

LSU now has seven verbal commits for the class of 2026.

I respect his decision to take more money from Bama on signing day leaving LSU holding their dicks again.

For all you whiney naysayers, ok, we get it. Some players change their mind. If you get a better job offer what have you done in the past? Same thing applies here. It’s a job to them.
Now for some truth. 90% of all players that commit to LSU end up coming to LSU. They may not stay but see statement on job offers above.
Why can’t we just be happy that the #1 WR in the country chose LSU for now. There is a small chance he might change his mind but for right now he is a Tiger.

It's not a bad thing. It's a good thing. Hope he sticks

We need to do away with verbal commitments entirely

Let’s say this again for all in the back.

Verbal commitments do not mean shite. Get excited when the paperwork is actually sent in.

He won't come to LSU because LSU will have no QB for 2026. WRs need someone to pass the ball to them. An Experienced transfer QB for next year is what we need.

Great news!! But until the ink dries not even going to count him as an official LSU tiger yet.

Agreed, commitments have truly lost their meaning in my humble opinion. It's ALL about the money for the highest rated players coming out of high school.

agreed. almost wish that he hadn't committed to us so that we would have a chance of him playing on our team.

He has ‘chosen’ LSU for now. We really need to get away from using the word ‘committed’

This means zero.

Nice, but I’ll be floored if we don’t get a ‘spect mah deesishun tweet from him once we get closer to signing day.

These kids “commitments” ain’t worth using as toilet paper these days.

Nothing to get excited over until he signs. Happens every year we get a bunch of these that commit and then 8 months later we get a “i just wanna thank the staff at LSU.” and a “respect my decision”

Congratulations on the public announcement of support. We know commitments aren't really that. But its nice to see the positive trend leading up to signing day

Too bad that most posters choose to see this as a negative event. Recruiting has obviously turned into something that they hate. Which leaves me wondering why they continue to follow it. Just tune in at the end of the early signing period fellas and don't worry about it too much

If every wife you ever married asked for an annulment 2 weeks after the wedding, you would never believe you would keep a wife. commitment issues. same thing is happening in college sports. that's why no one trusts this article

Commenting in here isn’t necessarily following it though. This story pops up on the front page, at the bottoms of threads, etc. I think it’s overwhelmingly negative because it’s a damn Wild West shite show. People are just sick of Lucy pulling the football over and over.

I’ll believe it when this kid suits up in the fall
