As expected, Hahnville running back Pooka Williams sticks with his commitment to Kansas and signed with Jayhawks Friday morning over LSU and Nebraska.

Williams committed to Kansas in February and received his offer from LSU this past September. The 5-10, 170-pound all-purpose back is rated the No. 11 APB in the country and the No. 16 overall player from the state of Louisiana for the class of 2018, according to Rivals.

Prediction: today will be the last day any of us hear the name Pooka Williams. He either drifts into oblivion at Kansas or can’t qualify and goes JUCO

I wish nothing but the very best for this kid! Hope he tears it up for KU! Would have loved him in P&G, but the risk was real. That 25 player cap means you can't take a risk like that if you have other players wanting in. I was actually selfish, wishing he'd go JUCO and come to LSU in 2 years, but here's hoping he blows up big in Kansas!

Accidental down-vote. Sorry.

I hope he likes to hunt large white tail deer and pheasants because there’s not much left to do in Kansas besides that.

And what is there to do in Baton Rouge? Gator hunting? Or maybe become a welder on the rigs in Louisiana?

These “star” ratings are confusing, this guy is 4 star and the No. 1 rated center is 3????????

I can’t figure out the star system either. I went back and looked—Jamarcus Russell wasn’t a five star. If that physical freak wasn’t a five star, then the stars aren’t worth even noting.

Right choice for a 170 Lb running back. This is the SEC

Probably a dynamic slot and specialist. This guy is very gifted. I do think he is better off in a true spread offense.

I wasn't even interested in this signing anyway, my interest is in WR Terrace Marshall who plan on picking between LSU and Texas A&M today. Besides we signed APB Tae Provens for the same position as Pooka and I would rather RB Harold Joiner as the third RB in the 2019 class. GEAUX TIGERS!!!!!!!!!!PURPLEREIGN??????????

I was thinking the same thing about Provens. I think he will fill that role nicely!

I love how the kid chose between Kansas, Neb, and,LSU when it is reported that LSU never sent scholarship papers. Lol.

Would have been a nice luxury to have. I agree that Joiner is probably a signee, therefore making it more difficult to get playing time. I think Pooka made a good decision for him. I wish him luck and success!

I don't know about him being "too small" you can't judge the heart of a young man. I think of a guy like Sproles who proved a lot of people wrong I'm sure. I suspect he wants to play right off and Kansas gives him that opportunity, I don't think he'd get that from LSU. GEAUX TIGERS

I just feel like there are sooo many other schools that he could have gone to. Schools that can win a D-1 football game.

....or another NOLA area kid that really felt the need to get out of Louisiana for a while. If he's not eligible and has to go the JUCO route do we still recruit him...or do we just move on?

There are plenty of schools to go to in the country that are outside of Louisiana. Move on from him. Too small anyways, probably a bust.

My thing is this I want to see every Louisiana prospect make it and I've seen this kid Play and he is a special talent. But his football career is basically over because he's a small RB going to a school with a swiss cheese OL and no recruits coming in to rectify the problem Pooka should've done his homework. First of all he's not an every down back he should have went to a program with an established RB where he could be a specialty RB. I really hope this kid has to go the JUCO route so he can have a chance to think about his decision and be able to pick a better situation for himself. It don't have to be LSU but anywhere but Basketball U Kansas. Good luck Kid!

"Pooka should've done his homework." Not sure if this was intentional or not but you sure hit the nail on the head.
