Elite five-star edge rusher KJ Green from Stone Mountain, Ga., has committed to LSU after his official visit to Baton Rouge this weekend.

The 6-4, 230-pound edge rusher from Stephenson High School is ranked as the No. 2 edge rusher in the country and the No. 8 overall player for 2027, according to 247Sports.

Green quickly filled a hole at the edge position in the class after Jaiden Bryant flipped from LSU to Miami earlier in the week.

Green is LSU's fifth verbal commit for the class of 2027.

Now you see why Bryant bailed last week. LSU wasn’t building its class JUST around Bryant. Bryant’s dad said it too. Too much competition. LSU is better off
