Ed Orgeron and the LSU coaching staff landed a commitment from four-star cornerback Khamauri Rogers on Sunday night.

Rogers, a 6-0, 160-pound prospect from Lexington, Mississippi (Holmes County), is rated the No. 1 cornerback in the country and the No. 8 overall recruit for the class of 2022, according to the early 247 Composite Rankings.

The Tigers now have three verbal commitments for the 2022 class with the addition of Rogers.

For more info on Rogers, visit his profile page on our 2022 Recruiting Tracker.

This is all well and good, but on this very page there is a link to a post entitled: "Four-Star WDE Alec Bryant Decommits From LSU" Until they sign the NLOI, this is just pleasant noise.

Look on the recruiting page. There's a reason that AB decommitted.

I know. But other kids decommit for no identifiable reason. The point is to not get too spun up on the promises of a 15/16 year old.

That's true most of the time however if u take a look at his 2nd Tweet u see this kids CLEARLY a Tiger from BIRTH! Only way he DC's is if we tell him we're givin his scholly to another player, the kid gets hurt or all of a sudden he just SUXS! Which all 3 seem pretty doubtful YEA?

There are no 5 star recruits in the class of 2022...yet. Too early.

Great news, although its hard to take a 16 year old kid serious this far out. If I was a betting man, he will change his commitment at least once before 2022

Yeah, but at least he is starting with us and not the Gumps. Nothing is guaranteed, but easier to keep than to flip.
