Stephen Lew-USA TODAY Sports
Sports Illustrated is reporting that the FBI's investigation into LSU head coach Will Wade remains active and that federal agents were recently in Baton Rouge.
quote:

LSU spokesman Michael Bonnette told SI Thursday that the school is unaware of any recent FBI inquiries or presence in Baton Rouge. Attempts to reach Wade’s attorney, Steve Thompson, were unsuccessful. A call to an SDNY spokesman was not immediately returned Thursday.

An NCAA investigation of LSU and Wade also is concurrently active. The NCAA enforcement staff’s case against the Tigers has dovetailed to include football allegations, and the case has been diverted to the association’s Independent Accountability Resolution Process, which was created to handle complex cases. In August 2020, ESPN.com obtained a document from NCAA enforcement asserting that Wade "arranged for, offered and/or provided impermissible payments, including cash payments, to at least 11 men's basketball prospective student-athletes, their family members, individuals associated with the prospects and/or nonscholastic coaches in exchange for the prospects' enrollment at LSU."

Wait a minute. You said last night he should be fired because sanctions and vacation of wins was coming. Once I shut you down on that one, now you’re saying he should be fired because he’s not that good of a coach. Seriously, man, he just led us to back to back seasons with tournament wins, LSU hasn’t done that since the mid 80’s. Pick which BS argument you are going to go with, last night it was looming sanctions, today it’s he’s not a good coach. You’ve got no credibility on either front, do everyone a favor (including yourself) and stop commenting.

He’s for sure the Tigers best basketball coach since Dale Brown. I hope he stays even after all the dust settles. Love that he brought back the retro basketball tiger too.

Those reasons are not mutually exclusive. Also, you didn't shut down anything. Your argument was speculative, weak, and desparate. As far as Will Wade's success is concerned, it's built on a house of cards and depends on payments. What coach can't teach iso and poor defense? There's no need to cling to Will Wade. LSU is a great destination for coaches.

Hell, don't worry about the FBI, they are idiots. The dude that bought the gun was on the watch list, and they still let him pass the background check..

Will Wade isn't even that good of a coach. Fire him. There's no need to die on this hill. LSU can do better.

These years won't be so good if the wins are vacated and sanctions cripple the program.

Interesting. When the FBI wants to, they manufacture a process crime to coerce a confession by threatening family members of their target like they did with Michael Flynn. Perhaps they are actually investigating for a change rather than doing a mafia-style hit job.

The longer this plays out as an open investigation, the better chances WW will come out fine!

So this is probably a priority for the FBI, but they have dropped the laptop investigation of Hunter Biden. Right?
