LSU's projected NCAA Tournament seeding took a hit on Friday after the Tigers' 79-67 loss to Arkansas in the quarterfinals of the SEC Tournament.

Prior to the game, LSU was projected as a No. 5 seed by both ESPN and CBS.

With the loss and movement in other conferences, ESPN and CBS have both dropped LSU down to a No. 6 seed playing No. 11 Indiana.

ESPN:
No. 6 LSU vs. No. 11 Indiana
Playing in San Diego (South Bracket)

CBS:
No. 6 LSU vs. No. 11 Indiana
Playing in Pittsburgh (East Bracket)

The Tigers will find out their official NCAA Tournament seeding on Sunday.

Steve Fisher won the 1989 title with Michigan, despite not being the head coach until after the final week of the regular season. There’s your Spin Zone lol.

Can't wait to watch what will likely be the Tigers' last tourney appearance for the next 10 years. Better soak it all in.

Count on the NC$$ doing anything it can to get LSU out of the tourney as quickly as possible, so fans aren’t reminded that it’s OK for some programs to pay players but not others. I won’t be watching any of it!

You're correct. Duke, Kansas, Arizona, Kentucky can do it. LSU can't. NCAA is garbage.

Six seed is perfect. Stay off the 1 seed’s side of the bracket.

44% FG for the year. Just doesn't get it. Shot in the 50s and you win all the time.

Indian would win and cover the -3 spread guarantee.

Indiana would be a very tough game 1 for us

Generally we get lower than projected. 7 seed it is.

I'll take any of them. No team is a cakewalk for us this year. That said, we could show up and beat anyone.

And we could also not show up and be beaten by anyone. You never know. Sigh.

Really won't matter... Lack of shooting and basketball IQ, ceiling is 2nd round exit for them, no matter where they are seeded at this point

First round exit is also possible.

Yea but it's also possible that this team could get to weekend 2 and possibly win a game there....I'm imagine that's the absolute ceiling, but you are right it would be easy for this team to lose game 1.

Seems fair. LSU hasn’t really earned a 5.
